My soil mix

I just mixed this up yesterday and about to transplant my outdoor plants into it. Just wanted to run it past y'all before i did, just to get another person's opinion.

-2 cubic feet of MG Organic Choice (brown bag)
-2 cubic feet of peat moss
-~15lbs. of worm castings
-a medium-sized bag of perlite (~3/4 cubic foot)
-~1 cubic foot of compost [see below]
-a few cups of bat guano

and about 2 months ago i started a compost bin [rubbermaid] with
-1/2 cubic foot of blood meal
-1/2 cubic foot of cottonseed meal
-1/2 cubic foot of peat moss
-1/2 cubic foot of dolomite lime
-1/2 cubic foot of "organic compost speeder"
and i dug up about 25 worms and put them in there and watered it a lot. Its been cooking since then.

BeginingBotanist420..... You have created a Super Soil basically. Once you get everything mixed together, there needs to be a curing time, for everything to distribute evenly thru out your soil mix. Give it three weeks, turn it twice a week & it will all be good.
.
If you need it yesterday, mix in 1 cubic foot of well rinsed coco-fiber. Then fill your pots or planting holes, 3/4 of the way full, then top off with straight " Jiffy Seed Starting Mix ". This will provide a buffer zone between delicate roots and the hotter soil. By the time the roots start growing into the hotter soil, it will all be good.......
.
Hope this helps....
Keep it Real....Organic....

Ohsogreen, you're ohsoAWESOME! Thanks for the help!

But when I posted this, I just transplanted my seedlings (in jiffy pucks) into Dixie cups with peat moss, some EWC, and perlite, so they're not in that soil yet. I was gonna transplant into it in about 2 weeks.

The bottom list with all the stuff 1/2 cu. ft. looks like it'd be pretty concentrated. Are you going to mix stuff from list #2 into mix #1?

The first list is ~30-35 gallons, or something (wake n' bake in action), and ugh ~17 gallons in the second list. So, shootin' from the hip I'd take like 12-15 cups of that second list and add it to the first list for use with rooted stuffs...outdoor, whatever.

Yeah, the second list is the stuff i put in the compost bin. The first list is the soil mix. Notice the amount of compost in the recipe is roughly an eighth of the total volume.

Oh, so you're just gonna add the whole compost bin to the soil mix?

An 1/8 of the total volume? top list = ~8 cu ft, and bottom is 2.5 cu. ft. Added together that's approx 10-12 cu. ft. and divided by 2.5 = 1/5
I mean it's morning, and I'm high so I might be off on my math.

Ugh, vol/vol. I'm goin' back to weight/weight like when I worked in a lab.

I like ohsogreen's post more and more as I understand what's goin' on. :dunce:

Just for reference, in my mix (similar) there is 24-30 cups of additives + 30 lbs EWC + 40 gal promix. So that's like what, approx 1.5-2.0 gallons worth of stuff not including perlite, and EWC gettin' added in. You can see what I'm gettin' at. Generally my mixes are less concentrated.

OK babbling aside, GL growing some bomb plants.

My mixing process and those lists are VERY approximate. I made the compost bin a looong time ago, and it took 2 joints and some stoner recall just to remember WHAT i put in, let alone how much of it.
