My Second Grow

Ok guys, I am still partway new at this guys, so I'd still like some input... I am using a Botanicare Ebb & Flow Micro system... it came with all nutrients, pH up & down, pH tester, but I have an electronic tester now, growing medium (consists of coco husks and perlite), 8 grow containers, which I have since transplanted 4/5 plants, 1 water pump, 1 air pump attached to 1 4" air stone in rez....1 600 watt HPS set up...started on 4- 2 ft. flourescent grow sticks... 2 cool, 2 warm10" stationary fan on when lights are on...As of today, Saturday Feb 23rd, it's the 6th day of flowering....

I found one male and pulled it right now... 4 left with at least 2 females... today bought a green light so I can work i the dark, some bone meal and some epsom salts... trin' to help my girlsout as much as possible....

My bad on the 2 female thing.. only one female. and it's the only one left!! I plucked two males yesterday, and one today... SAD!!

I appreciate it Roullette! I added two of my 'grow-stick' 2-foot flourescents to the sides for a bit o' help for the lower leaves...

Cleaned out my big tray

upped the pH to 6.7 for a bit of lime to be added....

looks so lonely with the one girl there...

since i installed the HPS, the temperature always has ranged from 74 - 86 everyday...

QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, ADVICE, ANYTHING IS WELCOMED AND WANTED!!!

JD

ya. added them flour's.. they were just sittin there... might as well... and it's not soil... soilless mix of peat moss, perlite, vermiculite... and i added bone meal....

My 600 watt HPS is the most efficient of all lamps.. IT HAS the highest lumen-to-watt-ratio OF ANY BULB IN THE WORLD...
and you WILL get 50% more buds with the HPS...
I was planning to use flours' the whole time but.... ya... no. lol :)

I had money to burn.... but nowi'm just worried about the electric bill....

Roullette, I gotta say that for a flour' gro, you got some good shit goin... keep yours up!!

I am on day 10 of flowering

need to get water for rez.... want to clean it our and take out the grow nutes and jus go base and bloom nutes

i thought it was the light spectrum was wat made the hps better?

me an my boy were bitching out each other each other. he says hps i said florecs.. look at this chart tell me what you think

thats based on a 50,000 lumen out put.

yeah, HPS all tha way.. shorter, stronger, more potent plants... tha light from the red end of the spectrum stimulates the floral hormeones in the plant, promoting flower production.... but i might also use a MH bulb all the way through but add a HPS when ever i start flowering... doubles light available and increases red end of spectrum, plus denser tighter nugs...

-ANYWAY-

Bought 4 gal. of distilled water... added 2 gal- with base/bloom nutes... put one in the fridge to 'keep on tap'... plant looks good. Did alot of pruning yesterday after reading a FAQ on here about the sun leaves blocking light to budding spots... and i'm prolly not going to trim too much anymore... just keep rotating her everyday...

pH was low... 6.2, so I added pH up... it's at 6.8-7.0 now.... need to update with pics... probablly tomorrow when the light turns off/on....

also, like I've stated-- I have a soiless mix of peat moss, vermiculite, bone meal, and perlite... every couple days or so, I see a little fuzz/mold (?) on the top of the soil... is this normal?? i just push the soil around and whatever... but ya..

how do you guys take your pictures?? I've only got my camera phone as of now.... updates as they come

peace and love,

JD

funy- the main stem.. is only like 5" tall. that's where I topped it of course, but the side shoots are about a foot tall!! :)

ah, good times.. too anxious.. and i have like 7 weeks to go

to deal with that fuzzy shit yon your soil.. i know it will help with bacteria but not sure for mold.. H2O2 wont hurt it an might kill the mold. and get some pics up! wanna see them shits again

Went to the Depot Home today.

List: superthrive
rooting hormone gel (for future use??)
magnesium sulfate
jiffy pots (for future use)
4" - 8" - 12" pots (for future use)
an analog thermometer/hydrometer

I was on a budget... added superthrive per instructions (ended up to be only 2.5 tsp. (??) also put some in a spray bottle with distilled water...

added MS (mag. sulfate) to top soil, misted plants with first epsom water for mag.def. then after lights came on, I misted with the superthrive mix....

Temperature: 85 deg.
Humidity: 47%
pH: 6.8

pic update... turned the light on right before it should have and quickly took as many pics as I could...

WHAT DOES EVERYONE HERE THINK?!?

like i said ...

how do y'all take your pics???
