Hey, im new to the forum. Been on here while checking things out. Thought i might as well make my own thread.

This is my first CFL grow. Just some random bagseed. I used 5 CFL's with a mix of warm and cool. USed Scotts nutrients and ended up with about 14g when dried. I think it was alright for a first grow with little info. I didnt moniter ph levels or anything like that.

This is my second (current) plant. Again its just some bagseed and again i didnt moniter ph levels. I actually had this plant sitting on my back porch all summer and never bothered to really take care of it or use nutes because i didnt think i was actually gonna follow through with flowering it. So it could have been alot better. I topped it once and when trying to spread the top two shoots accidently broke one off so again it could be more. For this i used 5 CFL's and a small 30" flourescent grow tube. Added some bloom nutrients maybe twice the whole duration. Its almost ready to harvest and am probably going to do so within a week or so. The temp is around 70F and the humidity at 70% or so. (i couldnt lower the humidity no matter what i tried)

Let me know what you think!

Thanks ClosetChronic. Thinking about harvesting early as im having a problem with thrips and contractors working in my home. The trics are amber in some spots, cloudy in most and somewhat clear on a few buds. Im looking for a mix of uplifting high and a couch lock high so im assuming having a mixture is good? Too early to harvest?

Il update when i harvest with some shots and weight. Heres some more pics.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

How come you don't monitor the pH ?

cheers

Well with this grow, it was kinda half-assed for the first bit. Never thought to go out and buy a meter and moniter the ph levels because ive never experianced any real problems growing with soil. I guess i just got lucky so far!

Looking at the pics, does anybody have any advice as to if i should wait it out another week or so to harvest?

just an update,

I trimmed most of the leaves off the big main cola buds thinking i was going to harvest soon. However, ive been watching the crystals and there not as amber as i had hoped.

Will not having leaves on the tops buds have any bad effects at this time?(I dont expect the bud to grow much bigger, just crystal wise)

Could high humidity have an impact how the trichomes mature and change color?

Il post some more pics when i do harvest
