My sand rail project

That Vdub 1600 originally came with around 80 h/p
The GSXR 1300 has twice that (plus some) stock.

Even my gsxr 750 pushes 125-130hp (haven't dyno'd)....

But MY powerband is like 8,000-12,500... noisy on a sandrail to really churn that horsepower all day

heres from an 03 750.. mines 04/05

yah, i hadn't even thought of that tbh, but if i were to make a video like that, i'd make it something to watch, lol..

and that is exactly why i don't have a bike sr verde.. i'm a super speed freak, and bikes are wayyyy too fast, i'd surely kill myself on one in a few days, or hours even, lol.. much respect for being able to ride one and not kill yourself though..

been ridin for years ;) been down a few times, learned various lessions the hard way... but i'm still out there :)

the trick is to start slow, and learn to ride the shit out of a 600-700 v twin cruiser before you move up to inline four, then something before a liter+ inline four is a good idea

i would have offed myself if i had a fast enough bike for the first year for sure but my first only went to 110 when I ran the gears up real high.... the odo only went to 100mph

or take it to the track if you have $$$!

...totally sweet! But that band could make for rattling some teeth loose, I'd imagine :) As much as I love speed (the going fast one ;) ), 12,000 would make me numb after a while - but it would be a race against the beer in that department, so...

It's not as bad as you think.... The engine *rumbles* less and is more balanced at the power band.... the engine will straight rocket through 8k-12k.. and rumble from 3-8 lol

these engines have like 12.3:1 compression ratios it's nuts

...my old car had 12:1 aluminum racing pistons, I know the rumble! Mid-race cam had me dancing on the spot at red lights  Fun as hell.

nothing beats the rumble of a nice big ass cam on idle imo.. i love it.. i even love how some harleys sound on idle, sounding like they're about to stall out and shit, and just barely idling, gotta love it, lol.. :)
