I just repotted them outa the small little baby plastic starter pots. i got light on them about 14 hours a day. they are good. keep them close without burning and set the timer to 18/6. the extra hours of light will help.

plus you have only two CFL's on a lot of plants. they are all sharing that light. put the two over 5 plants and a lot closer to the plant, and they'll sprout up like crazy

wow i thught mine were growin slow. I got some that are that size in a week and a half. What i did was line mine up under fluorecent tubes like 5 inchis away.u gotta understand how quickly light loses intensity over distance. bring the lights closer. and if your gonna put them outside do it now the sun will do the trick.

just keep researching im new at this too

I guess I have good seeds because mine germinated in 2 days and sprouted out of the ground in 1 day. Yeah, your light is too far away! Your plants crave heat and light.

they are a bit slow but be patient! once more leaves start to come out the leaf's will start doubling and it will shoot up :D

I am having the same problem with amazingly slow growth.
They are in my garden and get quite alot of sun.

Is there anything i can do (without using lights) to speed the growth up?

the stems seem along way out of the surface of the soil in pot. Also they look strained, like they are looking for more light. i got 4 outside and 16 in my loft and i have to say my outdoor ones are way bigger than yours. its all about location.

if the stem is sticking way out of the soil, then dig a deeper hole, and bury it prett much right up to the very first node. that's what i do.

in the seedling stage they grow slow just lower the lights add some more cfls and and they take off after that

the plants will get plenty of airflow and thick stems, just give em a bit to get taller. that long long stem at the bottom is just going to make it taller than it has to be, you know..

i was reading a thread about 24 hour light and male plants... and every plant i started indoors, i used 24 hours of light and they were all male....
i'd say go with the good ol 18/6 more like mother nature, herself.
i just switched to outfoors, and so far so good :)

once i get my own place, i will have a sweet fucking grow room setup, that's for sure:blsmoke:
