Hi guys,

Is this normal?

My plant is growing 4 leaves around its stalk...and then getting 4 more shoots....???

I planted this guy 3 weeks ago and it was an expensive seed I bought online..I thought they were supposed to be really good!

Looks like a tri-node. It is said that tri-nodes are likely polyploid. Polyploid cannabis usually takes a lot longer to finish but bigger buds.

I haven't sprouted one of those in a few years. I wish that was mine. Good Luck, you will need it.

the thing is, it never sprouted with 4 heads...

It started with two cotyledons, then two leaves, then two bigger leaves, then on its third node, it has grown leaves all around it with multiple shoots!

I will post again in a few days time...you will beable to see more clearly

I still think this is a polyploid.

This polyploid makes buds from calyx(as shown), and where leaflets meet stem.

Polyploids do cool stuff.

why not?? they love it when I spray them!
Because wet leaves lead to powdery mildew. And that will destroy the plant. You can do it if you want. Ive seen guys that do it once a month or in the shower. But ive also diagnosed a lot of powdery mildew cases where the grower fessed up to misting the plant regularly. As a group almost all growers do not mist them.

ok, well your speaking to the right person then!:)

My day job: Mold treatment.

Anyways, under the current conditions, high temps, low RH, the possibility of mold is low. powdery mildew like warm damp temps...my leaves dry up in minutes....

thanks for the heads up though!

Mold only sets in when theres buds on the plant. And theres lots of outdoor growers getting it right now because its that time of year. Powdery mildew can hit in veg pretty easily. I always get a chuckle from guys who mist when they say like you did, the plants love it. Like you know what they like lol. Like they talked to you and said, thanks man, i needed that. Its just a common rookie mistake and one day itll get you if you keep doing it. Post a thread and ask the question, youll see for yourself why we dont do it.

I dont mean to sound like a dick btw, sorry but it probably does sound dickish. You could be getting some slight nute burn on those leaves. What ppm are you running at?

I was at 0.5 ec, but I could have sworn the plant said it was hungry, so I increased it to 0.6 ec...

It's a really low ec... So don't know how it is nute burn?
