KML - you are being given some duff info.
You can see preflowers when they are vegging, before you put your lights onto 12/12 - that is not necessary at all.
Read my link below.

^Agreed.

yes it may be a pre flower mate, but it is not a pistil,a pistil is a white hair in my experience, dont you agree?

Sheesh, does it really matter? It's a calyx, and that means it's a female. I didn't think you'd get all technical on me, or I would've waited 3-4 days longer, then took the pic, WHEN the pistils sprouted, not IF.

I've found after around 4 weeks of veg they'll be showing pre-flowers, else if they weren't showing flowers, maybe 1-2 weeks under 12/12

Ya learn something new everyday ehh :)

I im by NO WAY associated with that website and im using it strictly for education visual purposes. I have 4 month old mother (rocklock) and a 2 month old Og Kush #18 that both have pistols all over the place never seen anything other then 18/6. The rocklock way more then the og but still. So if needed il take pics of those as well.

has i said debateale, hope this clears things up....
Clusters of flowers known as buds or colas only occur on female or hermaphrodite plants. Hermaphrodites are plants that are part male, part female. If you want sinsemilla buds, make sure you only have pure females.
Plants in constant light can sometimes start to show some pre-flowers after only a few weeks of growth. Usually though it takes a change in light cycle to trigger the plants into full reproductive mode.
Most varieties of marijuana require 12 hours of darkness per day to induce their flowering cycles. Sativa varieties sometimes need more. Indica varieties can sometimes take less. Ruderalis varieties can flower whatever.

Huh where did you hear this. Im not picking on u or anything bro but please tell me were u got this from so i can take the argument to them. Why would you give Indicas less light then 12 hours a day? why take hours off her photosynthesis time

(Photosynthesis "putting together",) is a process that converts carbon dioxide into organic compounds, especially sugars, using the energy from sunlight.)

Meaning the longer you have your lights on the fatter your nugs will be. I have experimented with 13/11 and 14/10 at 13/11 they didnt show any extra yield and but when i played with it and after 3 weeks or 12/12 i increased the light to 13/11 then 3 weeks later 14/10 i didnt notice a slight higher increase in the yield. Heres a link by a fellow that i dont quite agree on with everything but he does have good facts on this one.
