If you're talking the wreckster, I'm smoking her now!!! I think she's the best pot ever! Smooth ~ have never coughed yet ~ and lasts for 3-4 hours before considering her other half. She's all documented. Thanks for looking.

Heh, I just read this thread for the first time tonight too - from beginning to now. Makes me wanna grow some Trainwreck. Well done.

Thanks a lot, Pablo! That was one of the funnest things I've ever done, tying her down and experimenting with lights, etc. Not to mention the very best smoke. TW goes for about $18 a gram in the shops here so I'm glad to have gotten 36 for 'free.' Also, not to mention being able to keep a diary of it has made it so much greater! Thank you RIU.

I picked a couple hanging dingleberries on Indy yesterday and not hardly ready. Today I look and see pollen on a couple of her leaves. When I touch her, more falls. Ahhh it was falling just looking at it. I got a cup and the old man to help, and we got quite a bit of pollen gathered. Every time I went in there, more were flowering. Never seen a boy grow a flower, but it's beautiful!!!

The reasons Indy is bare are: She outgrew the top of the cage, got topped. She had pollen all over her leaves and I wanted it. She's growing a lot of seeds and I already have plenty. IOW, she's on her way to death's door. She smells like snake piss and I really don't want to smoke her. ALL RIGHT! She's a HE.

So we had some dust and took a paintbrush and dabbed TC (the PK). She's also on death row, so I sincerely doubt she will take. I pray I get seeds out of her. She's so extremely dank. She's on day 54 of her menopause so her conceiving a seed is negligible. Hope so though! After the pollen dries overnight, I’ll get them two buds again. I’d hope she’d seed in several places. I love seeds. I love PK seeds. I’m also going to seed my sick Afghan Goo outside because he’s full sativa and I can tame him down. We’ll see…

Well, D-Day is here for my first baby. She had only molasses on 8/19, was flushed many times yesterday and is getting ready for chop now.

I have the same low-level depression as I did with the wreckster when she was dying. Not the cutting, but watching her try to survive at the end. That is killing me.

Here's the last of TC before going under the knife. Back later with chop pix and wet weight!

I took a slew of pix of her chop, but looks just like TW so am not posting many. She came to 149g wet and I'll say 1 oz. dry (didn't measure since we were in large hurry).

Up Next! Hydroponics. I started this with a Stealth Hydro kit. Then we found TC as a clone in dirt, so used soil. We actually left part of TC growing as she was budding brand new buds on her main stalk and looked like she wanted to keep going.

Anyway, when she comes out of her cab I'm going to set up the hydro and use Afghan Goo seeds and see how that goes.

I figure I've now saved over $500 in store-bought pot. Another month I'll have the investment back!!!

I finally figured out what was wrong with Gooey outside. It took weeks of her yellowing her leaves all the way up and dropping off for me to figure she was not over-fertilized as I flushed her after her previous shot of SuperBloom. She was dying of thirst!!! (I finally remembered Google after searching this site for many hours trying to figure her malady and finally saw that leaves react to too much water in the exact way they react to too LITTLE water.) We've had a beautiful summer in mostly high 90s/low 100s until several weeks ago when we went in to triple digits for days/weeks. Duh, add more water when the weather changes!!! So I started giving her her regular nutes (Schultz 10-15-10) 3 drops in each 1/2 gallon of water and giving her TWO of those pitchers that I thought were a gallon. I know - blame it on the trainwreck.

Anyways, she's our next chop and after losing Indy to being of the lesser Human species, I have high hopes for the gooster. Also, the other two plants we harvested are heavy, heavy stone and I'm hoping Gooey will be something that I can smoke while out.

She's still in recovery ... I couldn't bare taking pix of her when I was murdering her accidentally. She's on Day 43 of 12/12 and went outside to veg on 5/18. I'm not sure I'd have gotten the buds on all the bottom stems had her leaves not dropped off so maybe it all worked for the best!

I want to do a separate post here on the Romulans. They both came from seed on 8/4 when they popped into my world. Every single thing that has been done to one has been done to the other at the same time ~ food, lights, transplants, etc.

The difference in the two is startling. Rummy (the light one) grew way faster in the beginning and Rommy grew shorter and fuller. Rommy is a deep, dark green and Rummy is light. AND ... the main difference is Rummy is sprouting pistles and Rommy is growing EXACTLY as Indy the boy did.

I planned that cab for two big plants and that's the way it's going to stay. I'll be reading a lot more on breeding as I go, but right now I'm planning on letting them mate and hopefully live a long and very productive life together.

They are 21 days old today! Rummy (girl) is 11" and Rommy is 10".

One other note: Three goo seeds are in the paper trying to sprout. Got the hydro ready to go!!!

I took the leaves (bud leaves an' all) from the purple kush and Indy the boy. I read to grind them up to make butter. So I'm checking that I got everything and while grinding with the little orange grinder, I decide to make some tea.

I put about two heaping teaspoons of the finest grind into a paper coffee filter, tied it up with a rubberband (only because it was on the table, but didn't let touch water) and poured it into a small coffee cup of boiled water. I thought it was going to taste awful but turned out to have a really nice tea taste. I wish I'd used a bigger cup and less 'tea.' I was so high, skipped dinner, drank beer and don't remember much more. The next morning I had a shroom hangover, bad, chapped lips and all. Anyway, it reminded me I don't really care for injested marijuana, so I'm not cooking it. After all that grinding, I'm going to smoke her in my Volcano.

Anyway, after her harvest we left her growing and it looks like she's producing seeds on the branches we used Indy's semen on. Man, if I can reproduce her in her too-high-tea glory, I'd jump for joy.

PS That table was clean before the grind :)

So we've been deciding when to flush the outsider and cut her big colas off. Every morning I plan it and every afternoon she's got brand new baby white hairs and I wait.

So I'm out there today and a CHP chopper flies over low. We stand in front of the plant and try to hide her. She’s 5' from ground to top of her. Ignorant. Anyways, they circled way out and came back down very close straight over the backyard and plant. By now I'm coming out a door with water and could clearly see the camera up there going. I smiled. Anyway, I'm very legal but my backyard is not good to grow in. Shouldn't do it where others could possibly see it and I've had two days of paranoia over people coming too close.

So she'll be partially chopped tomorrow and finish off her lower buds under lights.

Cops didn't come today and tomorrow she'll be hanging on a line. Like I said, I can grow her just not next to the public and she was easily close enough to smell. Now they got a 'before' pic.

Here's a couple pix from last couple days. Chop and weight tomorrow. Cheers.

So Gooey got half-chopped today. I’ve been living a month of paranoia. Good grief, if I’m going to live next to a public access with trucks in high cabs out there, I shouldn’t let a plant get 5 feet tall from the ground up. Kids were skating boarding back there and walking by, etc. It was awful. The CHP was actually a relief when it came to my paranoia. As we started the chop, I felt a huge relief wash over me. Not cops, mind you, but kids and young adults. Brazen. Cops are cool if it’s obviously a medical grow and well within your limits. To be honest, I had so many near misses with bugs, dehydration, etc. where I nursed her and worried her like a child, I’d not have given her up should someone have tried.

This was my first outside plant and first grow from seed germination to harvest. TC and the wreck were clones. Her weight trimmed (I know got major stems in the dry) is 209 grams (7.32 oz). I expect 80% loss after dry, but still have a lot of pot. The good thing is she's hopefully only half done. She's got a seeded bud, so have great hopes that I'll have success with the bottom buds, also.

As I was doing this, I was drying some outside in the sun. They're actually buds I 'accidentally' cut off :) or cut in half. Anyway, when I'm done smoking it I'll put a smoke report in.

I always read how fruity trainwreck is and mine was not really. Great pot, but I wouldn't call fruity. But this stuff is lemon lime in a can. Now I know what people mean about citrusy. Pots dry, joint's rolled and smoke report tomorrow.

Also did a lamb's bread that is my embarrassment, but will post her pix tomorrow. Final weight for her was a huge 10g. Mortifying. My best friend gave her to me and she'll read this. Sorry. Anyway, time to medicate ...

WOW! I got over 1000 hits. Thanks everyone for stopping by!

The first goo cut she dried out at 70g without stems which in my math is extremely close to 2 1/2 ounces. I left her scraggled and put her right back out for the CHP's view, by now a joke. Anyway, I'm happy to say we got another 57g wet in her final chop today. And ... I'm sorry to say that her seeded bud didn't take. Lesson: Leave the plant with that bud growing until finished (see TC (Pur Kush)) in next post.

Smoke Report on Afhan Goo

To be honest I was hoping for a much more sativa-ey high. It's knock-out like the other two and I'm still trying to grow some I can smoke while out and still be able to make it home. I know ... major complaint. Killer pot. Problem: curbs appetite or laziness takes over the hunger, not sure which. Smokes smooth and once again I'll swear by molasses because I haven't smoked one without it yet and with no curing, other than two hours in the sun to dry, they've all been smooth and stay-litable (word?).

First I'm shocked I could grow something so dank and mentally debilitating. Now, I'm completely blown away that I was actually able to get seeds from my first plant. I followed fdd2blk's seed tutorial and even though TC was a few weeks from harvest we painted her with pollen and placed a male flower on her bud and she took.

Today I got 6 brown, done seeds and picked two that were too early to see how long they take. She was pollenated about 2-3 weeks before the end of flower (absolutely do not recommend waiting that long) and harvest and just had ripe seeds today. She's got a slew more of them coming along. Who knew how easy it was to get "free" seeds of killer PK. I'll be interested to know what they grow. TC was a clone.

Anyway, she's on Schultz 10-15-10 per water and 12/12 lights. Just an ignorant bud on a big stem.

I've been away from RIU because I've been trying to buy a house. If you've done it, you know it's time consuming. CA is trying to come up with rules about growing on rental property without written permission from owner which I think is only a matter of time before it's illegal without one. Anyways, time consuming; stressful; financially scary, etc.

Update: First of all I totally blew my Rommie and Rummie gender prediction. Post 48 is the exact opposite of reality. Rommie is the girl and Rummie was (yes, was) the boy. I took Rummie's pollen, put it in a jar and promptly forgot about it. IT NEEDS TO GET AIR!!! When I looked at the jar a week later it was covered in cotton balls of mold. NP, I can make more when I get another male (no doubt :).

Here's Rummie and Rommie growing up.

I know I said I was going to put the goo seeds in water, but I blew it. I put them in the saucer with paper towels and grew the little white stems too long before putting in rockwool. They stretched bad and couldn't hold themselves up without dirt around their stems. The rocks would've helped in the net pots, but honestly they weren't going to be strong enough. So they're in veg - two (out of 3) made it and one is transplanted in a big pot (today). They'll go in the third cabinet. Rommie in #1 and ...

We have three Romulan clippings growing from Rommie. They're in root starter and rock wool and doing well. They will be the ones to go in the other cabinet in the Stealth Hydro Dual Spectrum tank and that will be tomorrow. They're very young and I'm only going to put one small light in there until they get acclimated.

BTW, while we were smoking Gooey, chop 2, we did find about 9 seeds in her on the bud we pollenated. I hope everyone will know to keep a good-smoke male until you get pollen so you can continually have seeds of the good shit. We got about 20 seeds from the purple kush and 9 from the Goo. It's a self-producing way to go.

Shit, I can't post the pix of the babies tonight. Will tomorrow ~ along with the hydro set-up. Smoke Up and Stay Safebongsmilie

Where I was ~

I had two offers accepted on two houses I was going to buy. Then I got sick and baled on the whole thing.

Started as the puke, fever, sinus crap and a cough. Turned into pneumonia. I also have underlying (oh and yes pre-conditions) problems. Anyway, pure bed rest since 10/8. No cigarettes, no beer, and no, no, no smoking pot. Man that was brutal the couple times I tried that. I got some killer cold tea, some tincture for under the tongue and a couple of supposedly killer cookies at the dispensary today. Finally relief from feeling like crap.

So the plants flourished as much as I cared for three weeks. Bad. Threw out Rommie due to spider webs, Waiting on sex of two plants from Goo seeds. Planted 5 purple kush seeds an hour ago in Rockwool.

So two adults (Goo's) and 5 seeds (PK). Grow, grow, grow!!!

Wow, I had no idea I left this page when I was sick! I was in bed for 55 days with the dreaded swine flu. I haven't had anything new, same small grows in cabs in the apartment so didn't post.

I got a beautiful house and am in the process of expanding the cabs to the full room floor. I kept looking for light fixtures and a way to hang them and finally settled on hanging the overheads from molly bolts and chains. We put up a 5 foot (el cheapo to the max) shelving unit ($14.00 Walmart, don't bother) and reinforced the shelves with 2x2 inserts to hold the clamps.

I left the floor in the gro-room hardwood so needed to cover that. I used a 5'x7' black indoor-outdoor job ($22.00 Walmart) and I covered that with shelving paper, taped on the back with rubber grip on the other side. That holds the shelf paper together and keeps it from sliding. That helps with water-proofing.

Here's pix so far ...
