ok forget last post, i got the PS working and i have it operating a few fans.
but my new question is, whats the proper way to get rid of all the extra wires on it, do i just completly snip them off? or does that ruin the PS?

I registered just to see the pictures of this. I have been intending to build a pc grow box for several months now, I just haven't gotten around to it. I plan to use mine mostly for starting seeds when it's still cold here to then move outside, cloning, and sexing. Best of luck to you.

I guess i got lucky mine wasnt to bad to strip out, its just a pain to put the panel back on cause in a huge piece, im gonna try with only one fan at teh top blowin hot air out and see if the temps are still good. Im gettin higher power fans for my hps grow on fri or sat so ill just use one of the comp fans from that. :)

well construction is going to be postponed for a day or two
i just completly screwed my hand over.
Severly burned it with a soldering iron
between the crease of thumb and index finger
and my thumb and index finger
got a huge burn mark and im sure it'll turn into a giant blister. not really gonna be able to construct much with my hand like this.

ill post some pics up soon though and let you all see what ive got so far.

also i hope to keep hearing from you sirus on your pc grow construction

you need to remove the internal bays mounts and the psu mount and you should not to to hacksaw they are usually screwed in if bolted pry them out

If the drive bays being being held on by just rivets (the little weird screw type looking things) if you have a drill and a metal peice for it you can drill those babys out and voila no more drive bay ;)

dope ideas going around here. i couldn't help but notice that your computer seams to to be riveted together total hassle to take apart. you should able to to find and old one for nothing one that is screwed in most places. Just an idea.

peace.

after my recent hand injury i have been moving slowly
but i finally got the PC Stripped
here a quick look

im leaving the power supply, going to have it hooked up so i can run the fans off of it and that way it even sounds like its a running computer.

now i just need to begin construction. i need to get a material to seperate the grow area and the section where the wiring will be
not sure what to use for the divider yet. going to work on some other stuff also to get it going,
if any1 has any ideas leave them here. thanks
