First, I have to correct my start date. I thought I put them out on May15th, but per this picture I found dated may 31st, it looks like I may have been off a week or two. The mango and blue dream did go outside mid may in 4" coco pots because I didn't have any room in my grow room and was going to throw them out. They were actually only alive because I set them near my veggy garden and they were getting some water from the sprinklers. Then I decided since they were still healthy, I would throw them out back. This is when I decided to try my hand at outdoor growing. That is why the mango and bd started budding early.
So anyway, I thought I would post the pic I found along with a little picture progression to date.

Yea man, I will probably do another outdoor run next year. I might do a couple more even. That is if I don't have any neighbors move in and build on the lots around me. I actually live in a subdivision and am lucky that where the plants are, there is no visibility from the road or homes around me. But if someone buys any of the empty wooded lots around me, I will lose my backyard privacy. I really got lucky with the spot that they are at, because they get the full southern exposure.

Thanks man, it is good to see you back at it my friend. I am still learning the outdoor game

I think he is going to LOVE next year :)
Yes next year I will have a much better idea of what the hell I am doing outdoors.

I apologize for the lack of updates, but I have had some computer issues.
So I am learning the importance of staying ahead of the battle against bugs when gorwing outdoors. I am battling some spider mites right now. I have hit the mango and bd with sucra sheild and the other three with azamax. I didin't want to use the azamax on the two that look like they might finish in the next few weeks. I spent 3 hours treating them, making sure that every leaf was saturated. There wasn't any signs of mites on the mango and bd, but I am sure they are there so I spared no effort treating them all. As I sprayed I also noticed some white flies, not a lot, but there non the less. This is two issues that are new to me as I haven't dealt with either indoors. Now I have to shower, before going in my indoor rooms just to try and prevent them from making their way into my flower room.

nice flower developments :eyesmoke:

sucks to hear about the mites man. the mendo mites we get up here are brutal :wall: and definitely dont want them indoor where they fester and reproduce a lot faster inside in optimal conditions so good youre taking those precautions.

yea man, I was so pissed when I found them. The dude at the hydro store told me about this great new shit for mites called Plant Protector and it is organic enzymes. I asked if he new for sure that it worked and he's like " yes man, it really works". So I bought it and spent 3 hours making sure every little part of the plants were covered using 6 gallons in the sprayer. Next morning they actually looked worse, so this is when I decided to go with the azamax and sucra shield. IIt did seem to nock them down, I am going to hit them again tonight with plant protector because it is too soon to re-apply either of the others yet.
Anyway, yes I am very careful about going in my flower room. shower, clean cloths, don't pet the dog, etc.

Just gave the chop to a superbud today... about time too, the stash jars are getting empty
I would love to hear a smoke report on the Super Bud when its dry. I haven't ever smoke it.

Im tellin you man-- www.mite-rid.com

my little scrogg'd plant caught mites a couple weeks back and not a sign of mites after only one treatment. Im tellin ya, its the shit for these asshole super mites we get up here. it comes from the southern hemisphere(australia I think) so theres no way that the mites we have will be immuned to it and it lasts long enough to take care of any larvae that hatch completely wiping them out systematically

Dont make me say it again.................. its the SHIT and the product! :-D

its a super concentrated neem and the active ingredient azadirachtin is more concentrated than anything else on the market, 80% i think. the mites I get drink neem martinis and laugh as I spray them with normal neem so I had to step it up

I have tried to find mite rid at the hydro store with no avail. I also can't find floromite, so azamax it is. I may order some of the mite rid to have on hand, incase they do show up inside. I plan on spraying the azamax again tonight or tomorrow night. I am not sure how long I have to wait between applications, but tonight would be 2 days. I went through the foliage thouroughly this morning and saw only a few alive, so it is working. The reason I don't want to use neem this late is obviously the taste and odor effect on the buds. I plan on limitng the azamax to the three plants that are just budding, ( well the super bud has been budding now for a few weeks) but not on the two that look to be a few weeks out. For the other two I plan on using the sucra sheild. I have been mixing both with coco wet and the leaves seem to be getting saturated. I have been alternating my back pack sprayer with the fogger, so they are getting thoroughly covered.
I am still trying to figure out where the hell these little bastards came from. I have heard different theories oon spider mites. One is that I have come in contact and brought them into the garden, which am not thinking is my case since they are not in my indoor rooms. The second one I heard is that the clone had them when I got them and they stayed dormant until recently. This theory actually is porbable for me. I did get the Chem Dog, Super Bud, and Kimo from others. The Chem Dog seems to be have the worst of it followed by the Super Bud. The Mango and BD have very litle evidence of mites comparably. The third theory is that they just found my garden, which could be the case, but more likely one of the first two theories.
My biggest concern now, is that I trim in my garage near my indoor room and my drying room is next to the indoor rooms as well. Therefore, I have a strong chance of bring them inside if I trim and dry inside. I am really stressing on this issue. If they do show up indoors, I will most likely be shut down for a couple months while I fumigate and sterylize everything otherwise I may be battling them for ever. What a bitch huh?
I appreciate the tip on the mite rid though, I just don't think I can get it in my hands in time to treat this infestation.

Plants are looking good, nice and healthy, should hopefully clear a little over a lb off a couple of those girls. Ive always dug 3-4ft pits, about 3x3 area and backfilled with my own mix, I need to get some damn pictures up here soon so I can show these babies off. Im hoping to get a 5 pounder this year and I think there may be a couple that are going to be close, I love growing outdoors, Im opposite of you been growing outdoors for years, just this last year got into the indoor so Im still learning everyday, but Im slowly progressing, but I had a major mite prolem this go around indoors that I hopefully just got under control a few days ago. Im sub'd, gotta check out the final product, peace my man, take care

my plants developed mites at the end of the 8th week...i was totally surprised as i was checking pretty regularly with my 30x micro...one day i checked and wham!...mites everywhere...only on one plant, which had been for a large part segregated...yah, dead leaf matter and dormant eggs...

is this any worse than the sphore problems you get in clones...

there is a produst called plant vitality+ it is made in the uk. I bought some on e-bay. It kills the eggs... need I say more? single application exterminator. Made from a fermented soil extract, not pesticide. It fucking murders those little fuckers. another dynamite product is azatrol. It is an extract from the neem oil. You can use as a foliar killer, and you can also use it as a systemic mite control by feeding it to the plant via the roots. It will make it so any mites that do chew the leaves are mutated horribly and unable to reproduce. I use the azatrol every 2 weeks and feed it to the plants until they are about 4 or 5 weeks into bloom, and I use the plant vitality in a foliar spray every month to 6 weeks to make sure nothing sneaks in. I never have pests, but then again it's easy to control indoors... ;)

This phenotype of the superbud is ok. The indica/afghani genetics really come out in the structure of the plant. It has a very potent stoney effect, but the flavor and smell leave much to be desired. It really has no discernable smell when I'm in my growroom. This harvest was my last time growing it. When SourDiesel and BlueMystic both ripen in the same time, and kick the ass off the SB as far as yield, potency, and bouquet are concerned I see no real reason to keep this one around. I did make some crosses with it though, like I said.. it's potent as hell, it just doesn't smell or taste good.

Thanks for the info Stead. I used to use azatrol, but find the azamax works better. But then again, I have never battled spider mites. I did whip out a crazy aphid infestation indoors with azamax. It works the same way as azatrol, I just seem to have better results with the azamax. I order the mite rid yesterday too, but not sure if I will be using it. It must be pretty concentrated shit, becouse it looks like it is the size of an eye dropper. I'm starting to figure out that the hydro shop folks don't tell you the easiest ways to get rid of or protect your plants becuase then you won't need to spends hundreds of bucks on bug control. I asked them if they could order some floromite or mite rid a whil back. I also asked if I should be using neem as preventative. My supossed buddy at the hydro store said " don't treat them if they don't have any bugs". So I basically just used some BT to prevent catepillars and a couple does of sucra shield. Every one I know that is growing outside that used neem through veg has no bugs right now. Everyone that did not is dealing with mites, moths, catepillars, or white flies. IMHO Neem is cheap and effective, so why would the hydro folks want you to use it when you can buy the expensive products that require you to keep applying and buying more. Again this is just MHO. Indoors if I see a bug I just flood the room with co2 for 15 mins and they dissapear or I find them dead on leaves or in the pots.
