I have heard that more than 1 plant in an area is a bad idea.. Yet you have a few from where I can see.. Is this because of the amount of space that you are growing it in?
You should do some more reading on this site. All the questions you're asking are covered here somewhere...but, in brief:I have heard that more than 1 plant in an area is a bad idea.. Yet you have a few from where I can see.. Is this because of the amount of space that you are growing it in?
Though this guy sounds like a douche I have to say that it all depends on the quality of the malana. I've spent about a year in total living in India (spread over a few years since I went first in 1999) and I smoke nothing but charas every time. The problem I've found is that since middle-class Indians have now started to smoke quite a bit, finding decent quality hash has become very difficult. Bangalore is one place where I know for a fact that finding good hash can be tricky.buddy i've smoked more charas than you've ever seen in your life, do you know what smoking just malana hi quality
hash does to your system? especially in hot weather? i don't think you do, so i'll tell you, it leaves you feeling fucking
hot, hash is best smoked in a chillum and it heats you up inside out. your stomach goes for a fucking out of this world
flight as it decides to hurt like a bitch and refuse to keep in half the shit you eat. smoking a lot of just charas fucks your
system up, think i didn't try that already? lol come to india bro i'll show you bricks of hash the size of a buick, you'll
smoke so much hash you'll never want to smell it again. don't jump to conclusions, weak arsed prick
i spend 1-2 months in goa, at least one month around xmas season...Looking good. Hey, you don't ever pass through Palolem, Goa do you? I tend to spend a couple of weeks chilling out there most years and I'd me more than happy to act as an impartial RIU taste-tester if you wanted some feedback on your grows!!
hope you ain't sayin i sound like a douche mate...? and again, finding decent quality hash is only difficult if you don't have connections...my connections are top notch...and you said it depends on the quality of malana, thats why i said hi quality malana...i have hookups who live there, own plantations there, run the shit over there and people who go and come regularly and have been for more than a decade...i can't stress this enough, it's ALL about contacts, connections, and communication in the local language, and even more important, in the local dialect.Though this guy sounds like a douche I have to say that it all depends on the quality of the malana. I tend to buy it from western people I know well who have spent time in the mountains buying up good quality chunks for the winter beach season. When it's good, it's smooth and sweet...when it isn't great, well....then it's nasty. But that's true of all hash.
As I said before, the very best hash I've had was from parvati, and was so sweet that I had people from all over hanging around to get a drag or two off my joints...better even than the best rifman hash you get from DampKring coffeeshop in Amsterdam.
I personally think that the average hash quality has suffered because there's so much demand that there isn't enough good stuff around, and certainly less curing time on the mass-produced shit. (the best hand-rubbed charas is buried for several months to cure)
Of course, this is actually all the more reason to grow your own proper bud. Rather than waiting around for the odd tolah of decent charas that might appear...grow your own and do the job right yourself...
Shanti
i feel i can't stress this enough, you're in bangalore, nobody is ever, EVER gonna catch you if it's on your terrace and you keep it tied down with some solid LST...as you can see, of the plants in my little 'pit' one of them is not more than a foot off of the soil and covers at least 66% of the 4.5x4 ft area i have set up there. and tropic sun is so much better than cfl that there's really no point in even making a comparison...and even if you plant it now, your plants will spend quite a while vegging and under this tropical sun you have no idea how much 'potential growth' that is...i feel frankly that planting in march and getting the most out of that harsh march and april sun here really helped my plants in the veg stage...but you can rest assured knowing that indian bag seed is probably landrace from here and as such will not begin flowering till the monsoons are over...you will have that much time for veg...I have had the plant for 2 weeks on 24/7, I will switch it to 12/12 from next week and start a new grow.. Just got back from the Garden Store ... New Pots, soil, peat moss, fert, nutes, etc...
you can start right now and still be perfectly in time for an outdoor grow my friend...we're at 12 latitude, do you know the meaning of that? we're in a location outdoor growers around the world KNOW that plants LOVE. order seeds online NOW from pick'n'mix seeds, get a cheap fast finishing indica strain which is resistant to mold and pests, a more experienced grower will give you advice on this...but basically, where we live, in bangalore, we can grow other countries' indica strains YEAR ROUND. our landrace sativas will take a long fucking time cause they don't care about the sun, but given that you can cover the plant during the REALLY REALLY heavy rains once it's started flowering, you won't have any problem planting and flowering good indicas from higher latitudes in bangalore year round.Yeah, I have started too late for sure to do an outdoor grow, but I will get as much sunlight as i can and probably add about 5 * 70 watt CFL's cos they are the best I can get my hands on for now...
Just be careful with young seedlings. If you started them off indoors then they can easily get sunburn if the sun is too bright and you leave them in it all day straight away. They may take a week or two to fully acclimatize to the fierce midday tropical sun, particularly indica seedlings.Outdoor is coming out nice.. Just 1 day and the plant looks healthier.. lol..
Yep. They should be fine if you started them off outdoors...but a lot of people prefer to start off indoors where the environment is a little easier to control. Either will work, so down to personal choice of course...you're obviously doing it right.hmm probably if they're started inside, then i'd know nothing about that...if they're started outdoors i don't think that's really an issue
yes you do need it haha...but don't expect immediate results, you'll see a huge change over the course of one month of 3 days a week usageAm sure this is Sativa.. But there are some tiny flies hovering around them outside.. need to get some neem oil spray.. methinks.. They are on the 4th set of leaves now.. 2 weeks old after germination..
i've found that the best and cheapest gardening store i know is in Jeevanbhimanagar, it's a nursery run by the organization of the disabled or something...while, like any other store in india, the employees don't know SHIT about what they're selling 99% of the time, they are at least really nice and have very reasonable prices, and all the things necessary for a basic mj grow, imo. bone meal, neem cake, neem oil spray (called flower-gard, that's not a typo), vermicompost (or if you go when they have stock, you can get worm castings, if they don't have stock it's cause i raided the shelves), coco peat, ferts (with about a 10% margin for error, 20-20-20 and 17-17-17, if you really want it, values tested by me in my bedroom) and just about everything you'd need, apart from your own internal Nitrogen fertilizer and sand. should check it outAm sure this is Sativa.. that's great man, nothing like realizing the value of the tropic sun : ) you'll want to plant the autoflowering seeds you get outdoors as well, because they'll do better under 12/12 tropic sun rather than 20/4 or even 24/0 under cfl. yield wise and quality wise. that's an educated guess on my part though, see if you can confirm that with anyoneMate, 'The Garden Store' has me as a customer.. They seem pretty reasonable too. And If I am not wrong, there is an organization quite close to my place that sells gardening stuff too.. But am gonna wait for my seeds to arrive before I buy any more stuff.. Right now.. Thanks to You , all my lights, etc are lying in waste cos I have seen the Light of Outdoor .. She is growing beautifully
