My Outdoor Garden-2010

Thanks so much for this thread. Have read all 33 pages so far. Lots of great first-hand info and pics.
I am a newbie at 44.7 lat and have my first grow going: 8 Holland’s Hope and 1 unknown from bag seed. Picked HH because it’s supposed to be good for outdoor northern grow. Sprouted around 3/23. Growing under CFL on 24/0. I am planning on putting out plants around June 1, when daylight will be 15.2. To avoid forced flowering and then revegging, should I gradually reduce indoor 24/0 lighting to match outdoor 15.2? Would 1 hour reduction approx every two days be OK?
About revegging: I read somewhere it can produce hermaphrodytes. How much of a danger is this?

In your situation, I'd switch them to 20/4 and then reduce the day length by 1/2 hour every two days.

Some strains will show flowers, anyway.

Truthfully, based on my experiences, I'm beginning to believe any plant destined to go outside should be vegged indoors, under strong CFLs or HID lights at 14/10.

Too many people/strains have trouble making the transition without flowering.

I had my plants on 18/6 last year & had one strain (Kush) go into flower. This year they are at 16/8 & I will plant outside this week. I hope this is enough this time.

Peace

r you in camo in your yard???
My system is subtle, but seems to be effective.

Only one neighbor can see any part of my garden, and, after fifteen years, he's not in any hurry to cause problems. Another retired LEO.

I've sculpted my trees and vines to block the view up to over eight feet.

The screening isn't obvious inside my yard, but beyond the fences, nothing is visible.

They ALL sound good!

I go for variety.

The only strains I grow multiple plants of are light yielders, like Trainwreck.

No losers in that line up!

That was a link to page #23, which has a post showing several pix of my greenhouse. The one pictured has consistently yielded over 50g sq. ft. The other yields slightly less.

train wreck crossed with monkey balls is a very good yeilder.
Did you find my greenhouse shots?

I have several TW crosses. Trainwreck seems to improve everything.

BUT, there is NOTHING like the original E32 Trainwreck, as daytime meds.

The E32 is what is grown and sold in the dispensaries in Arcata. The original breeder was a good friend, until his passing, last year.

I've had the greenhouses for five years. Before that, my grows were scattered throughout my garden.

I designed them and a handyman friend did most of the construction.(This was before I retired. I didn't have the time, AND my career was in construction. The last thing I wanted to do on a day off is BUILD something! LOL)

He got me some great deals on some of the materials.

The reason I wanted you to see these pix is the ventilation system.

Air enters at the bottom of three sides, and is forced out by the fan through the center vent on the fourth(North) side.

Even without the fan, air travels naturally along the same path.

I've never had mold in those greenhouses.

mine is simular to your.my windows are at the far end just a little lower then mid way up the wall, and my fans will be at the other end high up just below the celling.. i can control the air flow by the windows..even with the fans off. nowi did have just a little mold last year, butwhen i opend up the up 2ft of the walls that took care of every thing.. this year my whole setup is diffrent so im antisapating no mold this year.. i only had mold on one bud and im sure it waz due to it beeing up againt the plastic.
