Thanks to the link to the thread....Here is my busted scrog lol. Getting the hang of training the plants....Kinda cool really!


The plants are stinky already...can't wait! Will Be flowering on 4/20 hahahahahahahahaha!:leaf::clap::leaf:

hey i have a 400 watt HPS and atm im just growing autos and using the hps fir the whole grow, but i plan to try feminised, if i wanted to get a 400watt MH for vegging and keep my HOS fir flowering would i need to get a whole new reflector and shit , or would would a 400 watt MH fit where my HPS does and i could just switch the bulb?

some ballasts can use a ceramic metal halide bulbs so depending on the ballast you can get one of them. i would just get a cheap t5, and build yourself a veg cab and use it.

all depends on your pallast, most electronic ballasts are designed to fire both HPS and MH but you can only run one bulb at a time
 
My setup

36x20x53 grow tent.
VENTING 1 S&P attic mounted 6 inch fan @ 323 cfm
400 watt hps/mh
White Widow seeds from BC Seeds
40/60 Perilite/MG soil.
5 weeks in Veg.

Its been interesting the last couple of weeks. I had an infestation of I think spider mites (thanks cat!Scroggy Bloom 009.jpg).
I over ferted and had to flush.
Still learning how to train plants through the wires.

do you think if i was gona stick with hps all the way through, a 600w what would be better? would that maybe increase my yield?
 
What kind of MG soil are you using? I've got a bag of MG Moisture Control sitting in my basement, figure why not try it. Your grow looks awesome by the way!
 
ye because ive been hearing talk of getting 3 oz a plant by using 12/12 from seed using a 600 watt hps, and i was expecting to get an o a plant using my 400 watt and id be happy with that but now ive heard i could get 3 oz a plant, im gona go for it and get the 600watt

i doubt that unless your very skilled. i use a 400w and for 3 plants i got 2.5 oz.
 
per plant? cuz atm i have 3 ( maybe 4 if the one i planted a couple of days ago sprouts) under a 400 watt hps, and after that i wanna have 6 fems under a 600w hps, im a newb so how much do you reckon that would get? also i was wonderin if maybe it would be better doin 4 feminised under a 600w than 6 under a 600w, cuz at first i seen it as more plants more bud, but now i understand that it might be better growing 4 big plants than 6 alright sized plants
 
This will be my last grow with MG.... The prob is you have no control over the nutes! So no leaching , no switching ferts. EVERYTIME I tried adding nutes my plants got burnt lol.

Yeah, 3 oz per plant would be no prob outdoors or if you veg for a really long time. From what I have read 1.5 per plant is good. Unless you gonna go SCROG , then maybe you could go 2-3. If I get 8oz of these 6 on my first grow I would be thrilled............. AND VERY VERY HIGH!:clap:
