I just built a new room under the House, it is 17x13x7, I have an ac but not running it due to the temps up in Nor Cal lately.

The lights are 1000w hps air cooled, the only intake is for the lights and it runs straight through and back out. My inlet line is always covered in condensation. With puddles of water on the floor.

I know this is the problem but how do I fix it? This is the cool air to cool the lights. My temps without them cooled is 85+ and it drops to 75 during lights on. 65 at night..

Im running 18/6 only 3 lights on right now, on week 3.

When I switch to 12/12 I will run 6.

thanks

So If i pull in warm air wil it still cool the lights?

If i switch the inlet and outlet I will be cooling the lights with warm air.

You said your new room is "under the house". Traditionally rooms below grade are notoriously humid. Cool duct + humid space = condensation......just like your cold brew on a humid day. I'm not sure what good swapping the inlet and outlet would do if you're taking in outside air to cool the lights and also exhausting to the outside. The only reason your exhaust duct isn't condensing water is that it's warmer after picking up heat from the light.

You need a dehumidifier. Most of them have 2 ways to get rid of the water collected.............If you have a floor drain just run a hose from the collection tank to the drain. If not, you'll either need to pump it out or empty the collection bin every day.

Good Luck!

the room is not below grade but the house is built on a hill, so the garage is on level ground and the far end is 7ft off the ground...

If that makes a differance

also does it make a differance to blow or suck through the lights, If i can just swithch the direction of the fan that would be easy, or do I need to pull all the air through and move the fan to the other side to pull it..

thanks
