My New Project Dual Metal Storage Cabinet Grow Room Stackable....Advice needed.

Now...that we have discovered what a pain in the ass foil tape is (stick really hard , rips really easy, has a paper barrier between strips that has to be handled uggh).

With the help of a friend I will get these things stacked for the first time.

they look great man.

Sorry its been so long ...had some computer issues and have been busy. Much progress has been made!!!

Now where was I.......

Oh yeah...the cabinets are stacked and aligned with peaces of foam and 4 bolts ...the foam to reduce the vibration of metal on metal. Now the moment of truth 4 inch holes to connect the 2 boxes one fan and filter....here we go!!! As you can see the damn hole saw jumped...luckily i didn't get caught those fuckers are jagged!!!

Well a little tape and more foam with fix the damage.

Worked perfectly...Now let talk mylar. Getting kinda poor. So instead of a 50 roll of mylar...I ordered some mylar emergency blankets I got 10 4x8 blankest for 5 bucks ....took a little strategey to get this easy to tear hard to cut stuff up...you will need these things!


Now first you start with cutting the piece out with a fresh razor blade...Next apply To the wall you are working on attach cut out of mylar...then do this a hell of a lot!!

Now to drill mounting holes for the light poof ventilation loovers...Mine are 8X8 inches which was enough for a 10'x10' room overkill probably but wanted to keep drag off the fan....Wish the had them cfm rated though. By the way I used 1.5inch bolts to secure them.

No remember I solve the issue of how to mount fan and lights without drilling a bunch of holes in these costly cabinets enter my new best friend pvc! I use 3/4 inch 40 schedule !!! Definetly wanna invest in a pair of pvc cutters...saves lots of time and cuts cleanly!!




The hardest part was finding the 90 degree side outlet corners!!! They had to be ordered offline....remember that wire it 9 gauge all purpose. 165lb test...more than enough to support everything and a work out on the hands to deal with!!!

Ok...look at what we have ....



Now check this out I was worried about strength dont want anything falling....You think this UNGLUED FRAME IS STRONG ENOUGH!!!??? LMAO! THATS AN OLD SCHOOL 32INCH TV!!!

Now to make the top for hanging...I want as may options possible so I made a grid!!

Looking good man. How much was that bigger metal cabinet that you thought about using? I would like to get one.

A place called ADR HAD THE BEST PRICES SHIPPING INCLUDED...ABOUT $600 BUCKS....If i wasn't so particular about color and condition you can find them used!

I always wanted a mother/clone/veg area....here is my chance! The best lighting bang for the buck...CFLs bought 3 85 watt 5k bulbs about 7000 lumen and $20 dollars apiece!


Again broke ass me needs a cheap reflector 5 bucks for a piece of duct 3 bucks for wiring 3 bucks for dual socket!

Now lets assemble the rack inside the bottom half!

Now for ventilation I used a S&P td100 inline fan....it will be for the whole setup...but broke and gotta save money for a 600wat hid for the upper level...S&P's are excellent for noise!!! Hung it from light hangers to prevent vibration!!!

Now the lights and my little clones ...is now 1 lemon skunk 3 white widow and 2 special kush!!!

great idea on the hood man......also i see emergency blankets in ther (noticeble by the small squares creased in the mylar) looking great man!! glad to see this grow is finally under way!!

Thanks man...the assembly was pretty easy...the details took forever to put together...now getting the money together for a 600 watt light with a cool tube.

i have a extra cool tube, brand new if your interested...it belongs to a 600w Apollo system. 40 bucks + shipping its yours. PM me if interested
