My new plants are going well, but they're only about 6 inches tall...

They're like BUSHES...after 3 and a half weeks from seed - should I move the light further away to get them taller? I was thinking of vegging them for about 8 weeks then taking clones from the bottoms then flowering...will they get taller themselves wthout moving the light? (its about 10 inches from the tops) I've only got limited space though so I'm hoping to be ok if they triple in height during flowering as they're a sativa hybrid...

Just remember during flower they just about double their size.

I know...just wondering if I should move the light slightly further away or not, whats your opinion man?

what exactly are your space restrictions and how tall are they now?

well...they could probably x4 or 5 height but any more and the light hanging from the clothes rail won't work properly (got about 3-4 inches over the rail, but the light/reflectors highest is 3-4 inches below it...)

what kind of light is it, if u have a hps/mh then another 4-5 weeks is way too long

Nah its a 125-watt CFL...got 3 other spiral CFLs for when I start flowering too, they seem to be a helluva lot brighter though, having said that they're a different spectrum so...
