My New Grow Room Built By Hubby!

Nice to meet ya Farm Friend. Congrats on your new grow room. Your husband is one hell of a man and you should be proud :mrgreen:. I can't wait to see these bad girls go into flowering. Will definently be bookmarking this one. Do you have a journal going on?

Lacy. My hubby is at work tonight 4-12 - no fun. I am posting the venting pictures for you as we speak. Let me know any questions your hubby has and I will get the answers for you. My step-son is coming over for dinner tonight and he does not know what is going on in the old basement- loose lips - I love him, but I figure if someone does not need to know, don't tell them.
 
No worries. My hubby does shiftwork also so i know what thats all about.

He basically wants to know if he can ventilate that taller pipe into the stink pipe. Here is our roughed in bathroom stuff.:confused:

Okay Here you go Lacy. The way the is works is that when the fan is on, the vent opens and draws in air. The DIY vent works pretty good so far. Before we put it on, the whole house was reeking! Now you can't smell a thing.

We found everything at Home Depot except the filter - I found it on amazon.com for about $10.00.

I found that same link for the activated carbon filter and we have a honme depot. Very good.

Yeah he has 12 hour shifts but is gone for 15 hours due to distance.
Its a good thing I don't get lonely.;)

SmokenGirl, you asked me how we raise and lower the lights. Here are a couple of pictures. i hope it helps. We used picture hanging wire (we tried a small chain, but what a noise!) Typical, now my pics won't upload, I don't think it is user error. I will keep trying.

Regarding raising and lowering lights: I use U-Bolts on closet poles from which I attach chains on carabiners. Adjusting the light involves moving the carabiner to a different loop of the chain.

I think I understand all of it except that last picture.
Hubby is busy playing his fishing games but I will get him to take a lot at it tomorrow.

I know what you mean about the house reeking. That is how my house smells right now because they are so close to harvest, plus I am having my parents over real soon.:-|

Lacy, the last picture is the DIY filter on the outside of the bathroom fan. Oh geese the parents!!! Better get some candles, open the windows, frebreeze....Yikes

plus hubby got some industrial strength cleaner/freshner from work so I will go through the entire house with it.
