My metal halide decision

So I decided to get a 250w metal halide bulb for veg and have been hearing that they are superior to the hps for the vegetative state.

Does anyone know of any threads (I've searched many times) where there is evidence that metal halide is better (i.e. side by side comparison of metal halide vs. hps vs. cfl or something like that; i've seen the hps vs. cfl vs. floro thread, but nothing with metal halide in comparison)

Is the color temperature of the halide bulb the most important element or can a standard plusright do the job?

I've looked around a lot so don't flame me for not looking, flame me for not knowing, then inform me :)... please

The best MH for vegging is a hortilux blue, which runs on MH or electronic ballasts, or ceramic MH, which run on magnetc HPS ballasts. Yes they are better for vegging if you are trying to produce lush, squat plants.

And the color is important. 6500 kelvin bulbs work best as a standalone veg bulb. The bluer spectrum makes growth stage plants respond well.
