My Local Home Depot is Marijuana Friendly

My feline brother first plant was ruined right after I had germinated the seeds from a recent eighth. So I went to Home Depot and shopped around for lighting so I can place the pot in a safer place and provide good lighting. The 3 employees I've spoken too on 2 different occasions all offered me advice in growing my plant. Of course, I wasn't asking how to grow a marijuana plant. I just asked what lighting tips and other things on an indoor closet garden.

My local place sells advanced nutients in the huge bulk jugs. Or that might be Rona, can't remember. Either way I'd rather go to a hydro store.

They fucking should be - dropped 4k there setting up. Want to know what home improvement project has the biggest return on investment? I'll give you a hint, it isn't a kitchen or a bathroom :P

3 employee's helping you with lighting and advice on how to grow plants doesn't make them marijuana friendly, lol. That means that the home depot by your house has people that are competent enough to have their jobs. You could be growing peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, pineapples, human plant hybrids; it's not their job to investigate what your growing.

Not sure how that's hating. I reject your drama and will stick to the OP's topic.

I wouldn't ask them directly about marijuana growing unless you don't care if one of them might report the credit card you used to buy the soil, lights, ferts, ect as a possible drug operation purchase.

Or I might just be paranoid and you might find a cool employee that knows how to grow and is cool with giving out information at work.

Corporations are either marijuana friendly, or they aren't. Home Depot doesn't support their customers growing marijuana. Some employee's at the Home Depot he goes to may be marijuana friendly, but the Home Depot is not marijuana friendly.

They did know it was marijuana. The first two were stocking together when I'd asked for their help, I was very vague. After I asked a few questions, one of the employees caught on to what type of plant I was talking about. He went on to explain how he is from the U.S. Virgin Islands and his father taught him to grow marijuana. He explained how his grow room is set up and we ended up talking about rolling techniques. When I went back for a second time to buy, I had a few more questions and asked a different employee. He said said I should have a black light with a florescent. Said that's how "I grow my plants indoors" and than asked if it is 6 month or 12 month cycle. Granted this can probably be argued that he wasn't talking about marijuana but he looked liked Chong and had bloodshot eyes.

Well yeah, they roll like that in Cali. :) In business, you've got to know what side your bread is buttered on. @ TheBuck: I would *not* be telling people I'm growing pot; you're violating rule #1 for growers. It's rule #1 for a very good reason; growers are not showers. "No smell, no tell, no sell, no jail!"

Home Depot doesn't hire people that test positive for THC. That doesn't sound like a company that endorses the use or growing of marijuana. Stop trying to stir up things on a forum. If you don't believe me go into your local home depot. Buy the necessary items for a basic decent marijuana grow set up. Ask to be rung up by the manager and tell him that you are purchasing all these items so that you can grow marijuana and you do plan on doing so. Then pay with your credit card that is billed to the rock you live under and set it all up and start growing.
