Hi everyone, I'm a noob to the forums and to growing (never grown indoors before).

So, without further to do I've just ordered 10 x 10w LED floodlights and will have an additional 4 x 5 foot LED T8 tubes in the following configuration.

Im happy to receive advice and willing to experiment. This set up set me back 125 dollars.

Im hoping I can grow at least 4 plants...

So around 100 watts of draw? Probably not 4 plants.

Closer to 200w with the T8s added

2 plants?
Plant size, and light efficiency make a difference.
Watts from wall and par watts are not the same.
With the light sources you are using shorter plants are a must to keep from making the buds overly airy.

There are cheap cobs you could buy and be in similar budget with a little assembly but get more light output.
With 4ft T8 bulbs you grow space is bigger than optimal with the light output you will most likely achieve

I hear ja, thanks. Maybe this is a good set up just for germinating seeds and I'll add some COBS as I go along... i dunno what im doing lol

after some thought, and since I have 10 x 10w LEDs anyway, so its clear I'll need to invest in a pro system... so I've reconfigured the set up to grow 4 plants, will this do?

Positioning into a shape of pentagon doesn't make bad LEDs good.

are you saying they wont help at all? I reconfigured the 10 led to fit into a tighter space... i dunno, thought it would help... ghuess I wasted a few dollars :(

I can't say that but it's likely.
10W LED is a very vague and loose term. It's impossible to determine how it will perform.

Don't expect much from these. They might do the trick for germination/veg. In flower, you're looking at least 4 (more would be optimal) of them per sqft.

Hi Alesh

Thanks man, I agree... would need more power to flower but I'll keep posting here and share the results.

Imma trash this idea, just a waste of moola and would be ineffective. It's ok to point and laugh
