My Latest Project

This thread is an overview of a new rig I'm building.
Here are a couple of (outdated) images to start:

Vscrog Tent Plan.jpg Tent 3Q.jpg

As you might have noticed, this is a 4-site vertical grow using wire fencing as a trellis.
The tent's dimensions are 120cm × 120cm × 200cm. A traditional lamp-over-plants method would result in a natural canopy area of 1.2m².
By contrast, this vertical orientation gives me about 5.6m² of usable canopy space.
My plan is to train the growing stalks along the trellis in such a way as to create a single layer of foliage, thereby making the most efficient use of the lamps' natural radiation patterns.

Clearly absent from this drawing revision are ventilation, air circulation, trellis stands and a number of other elements which I hope to outline in greater detail in future posts.

Details on the RDWC pictured above can be found in a concurrent discussion.

I'm happy to respond to any questions or comments.

THUNDER DOME!!!! I like it. I would make sure to install some cheap plastic 1/2" stop valves to control the water to each dripper. Equalizing pressure and flow without them can be tough. Also, instead of the drip rings, those new square drip things look pretty dam slick.

can't find a link for the drip ring substitute.

Thanks :)

Was I still using drip rings I definitely would have used valves, but as it stands the drip rings are out.
I really have to update these drawings!
