mrs milfweed,

i very new (cab is on order). I noticed u r using dirt, did you find the hydro components difficult to use? or do you find that dirt gives better results?

cheers

I'm more familiar with dirt, so I decided that while I learn the cab I'll use dirt and maybe move on to hydro in a future grow. I'd prefer to grow 4 plants in 2 gal pots and see how that goes.

BTW, my final total haul was over 6oz... 4 oz's of Juicy Fruit, and between the four American Dream plants in smaller pots, they yielded over a half oz each.. and there's an extra oz of popcorn buds too. Nice smoke

Yup, they'll cure in the jars (which get placed back in the box they came in). I dried the stuff out for a couple weeks in the bathroom and then put them in the jars. I'll open them daily for a shake and a fresh change of air for a couple more weeks until they're properly dried. Then I'll close them up tight and kept in a dark, cool cupboard until ready for use, which will be too frequently :D.

Hey there milfs, I have a question for you.

I recently built a stealth grow cab such as the one you have, and I am wondering how tall is your cloning chamber? (the top chamber if it's not a cloning chamber).

Thanks.

SunlightSheds.com says that you can use the Cool Cab to dry in 24-48 hours. Did you have problems with that or did u just decide to use the bathroom. Also, if you use the Cool Cab method, do you still need to cure?

I still had a couple plants that weren't ready to harvest as yet.

Yes, even if you quick dry, you still need to cure. Drying gets rid of the moisture in the plant, while curing gets rid of the harsh, green chlorophyll flavour.

The thing with drying in the shed in 24-48 is with the lights on, so there is still heat generated. Maybe if I was growing some other sort of herb (oregano, thyme etc), but I'm not doing that with my precious maryjane. :weed:

I dried mine in my Cool Cab a few times now. It was snappy dry in 3 days. Right into jars and was smoking the sweet buds a week or so later, lol. The last time though I found it dried it too fast and went really crispy, so next time I won't keep it in there as long to see what happens. I strung the buds on the chains and ran a line of the chains across the inside of the cabinet to hang them on too.:peace:

Chiceh, did you have the lights in the cab on or off?

Hey Chiceh, or anyone else who owns a cool cab. How long did your carbon scrubber last and what's the best replacement to get.
