So i have a story to tell you. Before that, i want to explain why am posting here in grow journal, because i just turned my 4 plants to 12/12. So it is a grow journal but with a long story. Thats my first thread ever on the INTERNET so plz forgive me for any mistakes. (before i was writing in grow journal but then i thought let me introduce myself in newbie section)
I am a two times engineer, 33 years old, unfortunately living in the worst country on the planet. But hey, neither i had the choice, nor i could go back and reborn at the place of my choosing. so here we go
So when i was a kid, like 12 years old, i wanted to try a drug called Charas, so a friend or elder friend got me hooked with a guy gave me some green rubbery stuff strip packed between plastic sheet. He charged me roughly 1$ at that time.
so i came back and tried it. and nothing actually happened. i assume that was worst horse shit i bought. Plus one day a servant lady at home found half of that strip under my pillow while cleaning my room and that servant lady gave it to my mom and wow. that was a scene. It was a sonami and my mom slapped me several time. But my dad, who was a doctor( RIP) and the kindest person on the planet, when he came back from work and heard about charas under my pillow, he smiled at me and very kindly told me that these thing are not good and lead to addiction and thats a bad thing. Try not to do it again... And that was all. Coolest dad.
After couple year, i grew up and found some friends who introduced me to another form of charas, now that thing was not rubbery at all, instead it was solid and very hard, we had to heat it up then mix it with tobacco and smoke it then. now i know it was some sort of hashish but good quality. This routine was occasional. Maybe once a month or couple months. Then in 2007, my dad died. and thats when within few month i knew so many dealers and i was regularly smoking hash while in university and everywhere. What ever that was it made me happy, feel good, positive attitude, and kind of a scientist, I would read books after getting high. Did a lot of research etc etc... Now the funny thing, till 2009, i had never seen a bud, but still in 2008 somewhere, i came to know that its a plant, and someone told me u can find it in some placed and next thing i was searching driving around slowly in rural areas to find a plant that looks like a pic i had at that time. The pic was of a bush and i had to match the leaves only. But i couldn't find anything.
Then in 2009, i had to travel to UK for my second engineering. And there one of my friend got me some weed for the first time
. Seeing that green bud mixed with brown tobacco, it looked soooo good. so i took a scissor and cut that greed stuff into small pieces and smoked it. Man that thing was like hash x 100 times. Thats how i saw weed, smoked it for first time in 2009, i stayed there for like 3,5 years, did my masters and unfortunately i had to come back. Now when i came back in 2013 , first thing u guessed, i tried to find weed. and i couldn't, people don't know anything here about weed. Even the biggest dealers never heard of smoking a bud. Anyways i had to resort to hash again, and then seriously, after two years i just gave up on that stuff because of quality.... then in 2015, i was with a friend and he said to me, hey u wanna grow weed plant... i was like how, he replied, my motor mechanic told me he has seeds and you can grow a plant from it. and i was like man do u have the seed, no i will get it for u don't worry, At this stage, i don't have any idea that there are 100ss of strains and types and thc or cbd or head high or body or even what i smoked in uk was sativa or indica....... Few days later, the friend came again, and he gave me like 200 seeds and said ok, here are the cannabis seeds, now lets grow them, that was in 2015, and that when i started goggling about cannabis. So i got couple cfl'ss and took a printer packing and i germinated like 5 seeds with paper towel method that i had seen on here n there, 10 days past and nothing happen. i saw people with seeds sprouting within two days, but mine were not coming out. Finally i thought to just sow them in coke cups i made. after month nothing came out. i did operated on the soil, trying to find the seeds and they looked same, nothing sprouted. Finally i read somewhere about hemp seeds used as bird feed, and i can get like 1000 seeds for 2$ of that for my birds. and then finally we went to that mechanic and he was insistent that these are cannabis seeds but he admitted that he bought them from a bird feed shop.
Now i started seeing online seed banks and man i wad amazed on the magnitude of it all, people spending lives to make good strains, anyways, but where i live, it was famous that u will never receive a parcel.
Whatever is in the parcel, it will be stolen before it reaches u. So ordering anything online is a waste. In all that time that winter finished and summer of 2016 was coming and let me tell you, temp goes to
48 to 50 C (118-122F). And i was well aware that most max for cannabis is 30C, at least thats what i found.
Now here is one more thing i want to address, there is not much real information on the internet. Like take temperature, no matter how much you search, there is not a single person that will tell u what happens if your grow room temp climbs above 30... Everyone will speculate, growth will stop this and that all guess work. Same with lightning questions. I decided to come here and contribute towards this. Now i have one grow under me, where for few days my temps were near 40C (104f)... just so u know, plants were fine but stressed yeah, but nothing died and i can tell u right now i did every bad thing to my plants. Anyways that will come later, i have pics about all of it. i will share them all in a grow journal or here, not sure now.
