Be patient Blackhawk, if their stretching the plant is telling you it wants/needs more light. They will usually take a couple of weeks of 12/12 to show sex. How many days you on now?

50 bucks for 3 seeds? what a rip off, you can get 10 seeds for that price at any top quality site, Never pay more then $10 a seed, and that's high, normally most places will let you buy 5 seeds ,then you will get 5 free or alike.

do you think there are any signs of sex?
its been over two weeks now since i put them under 12/12. There were a few light leaks fixed them few days back and am using mixed spectrum CFLs.please help.
this sexing is driving me crazy

Nope still no sign!! The things coming from the stem are called stipules. Both sexes get them. I see a very little growth starting that will eventually become the caylix/balls. Not long now tho!

Nah mate, they ain't gonna die lol. It actually takes a lot to out right kill a plant! They will let you know when their good and ready lol

For my next grow m starting next month. I have built a grow cab that is 4ftx2ftx5ft (lbh)
should I stick to CFLs or use an hps and mh.
Also is it possible to use just hps for veg+flower??

U can use hps/mh in there if you have proper ventilation. Yes you can use hps for veg/flower

Those pictures look like 7-10 days till you see the full preflower calyx with hair unless pollen sacs too develop in this same manner.In my case a new growth will form at the node where a single fan leaf is present on a stem. Like in your photos.The branch of this new growth and those stipules form a 45 degree angle, and at that very point you have a small weird pod like thingy. This pod is what became preflower calyx for me
