how old do they have to be to determine the sex i dont wanna waste time on males?

You have to put em on 12/12 for about a week and you'll start seeing little pre flowers. Little white hairs = female, balls = male

i can reveg them once i determine the sex right and could i do it soon ?

this is my third grow but my first indoor grow

does anybody have an idea of when i can sex the plant by putting them in 12/12 without harming them by doing it too early i dont wanna waste time and money on males?

You can put the plant into 12/12 whenever you want. It won't hurt them. You going to LST, top, etc?

thanks .. and idk do you think it would help increase my yeild by topping ... thats why im here so i can get help from growers with more experience so any suggestions is appreciated .. i will post more pics in a few days when they grow a little more

id definately look up the LST method, im starting a new grow soon and ive looked it up, seems silly not to

To go to 12/12 and back to veg can cause problems. Not always, but it can set the plants back weeks. I'd lst or supercrop them until they have about 7 or 8 nodes, then put them into flower, sex them, and flower the females.

c thats the kind of problems i was wondering about thank you ill just lst them and let them get as big as i feel is enough ... and another question i read a while ago that the plant will double its size in flowering is this true i dont have the most room ever where im at

they can double or even triple in size.

what i did was clip the new growth off the top with fingernail clippers the veryy new growth it looked like a little tiny leaf bud.... anybody have any disagreements with what i did and i only did it to like four of them

There is a difference in topping and FIMing. I can't tell which you used from your description. Both work but with slightly different results.

Sounds like you FIMmed.. How far down did you cut on the new growth?

im not sure ive grown and have had great harvests outside but this is my first time ever being able to give it a try indoors so im kinda new to this stuff if i went to far that just means ill have two shoots on top instead of three right? there will be more pics soon enough
