My Heart is Aching to Grow... But i Caught a Charge.

if i had to describe myself (which i hate doing)... I'm the type of person who has followed my "heart" in life. I've limited my own chances at a "normal" life due to the fact that I, like many others, march to the beat of my own drum. Literally. I know what my weakness and potentials are ... I know that there is a handfull of things in life that i have passion for and at this stage in my life sowing seed is what makes me happy, makes me feel validated, I've imbibed growing like a sponge only to have it torn down, charged with felonies and risked my loved ones.

so now that you've heard my dear abby paragraph ...i'm wondering what others have done or do in my situation. How do you continue on knowing that your craft, passion, means of income, whatever you would call it ..has to come cease?

I'd love to hear input on what other growers have done after they've been raided and charged. Sorry for the sappy post. It's a depressing time, and all i think about every morning is how much i miss tending to my garden.
I think if i had to choose between smoking or growing for the rest of my life ..... i would opt for growing. Much more self satisfying.

WERE YOU MEDICAL? I am medical, and the police said they like my setup. I love growing it is my life now, but there is no plant worth goinbg to jail over.

non-MMJ state kush. If i were in a medical state they would've laughed at what i've been charged with. Literally a handfull (under 5 vegged plants). No smokeable mj. a few pipes .... ratted out by a junkie who lived up stairs because the cops showed up for a warrant for them.

I follow what you're saying that no plant is worth going to jail over. But what's the alternative? Risk almost the same consequences trying to cop shit weed in the ghetto. I'd still catch an intent charge due to the fact that i smoke alot, and use scales to make sure i'm not getting ripped while buying.

here's the thing. When your in a non mmj state prices on everything are jacked. an oz. of top shelf fetches for almost 500. schwag fetches for about 120 and about 7 out of 10 times expect your bags to be short. MJ is distributed, prosecuted, and sold the same way heroin and crack are around here....
...so what are you saying. Quit medicating so i don't go to jail? .. not an option. I take action every chance i get to change laws. I donate. I'm not about to back down on the fight.
but having said that ...as i stated before ...i love growing, i love the plant. it has help mold me into the person i've become. Once i'm convicted, i'll no longer be able to medicate, I'll be a convicted felon facing jail time along with a dearly loved friend who had nothing to do with any of it other than having a piece of mail in the same residence....
if this thread has already become a rant. i apologize. and while you saying "no plant is worth going to jail over". your right. but at what point are "beliefs, passion, and morals" acceptable to stand up for???

my original question is what have other growers done/do in these situations? ...i don't expect anyone to tell me to set up shop again, but i'm curious how they handled their situation

Going away to jail is a lousy way to make a point . I would stop , wait , stay as free as I could the whole time and as soon as I could - move to a place that better fits my lifestyle . Also asking myself why did I do that here when I could have been elsewhere and been legal .

Lots of people went to jail over this plant b/c of their beliefs or you'd still get 10yrs for 1oz in EVERY state.
Growing was jail time in the 60s & 70s so was posession.
There would be no medical MJ with out these people.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Seriously a bummer. Reading how growing Marijuana has affected you and many other people just makes me so infuriated. It helps people and causes no harm to anybody. You don't see Doctors handing out gallons of whiskey out to cancer patients. Even in the legal states it can be a joke.

Sorry It's stupid shit and makes me flustered with rage.

I love the gardening aspect of growing as well. There is something about it that i find so relaxing and so rewarding at the same time. I'm doing my firs grow and can tell you I find so much enlightenment while working with my plant. This may sound silly to some, but i connect with my plant. When I broke a stem off of her, I seriously felt bad. Not because that stem wasn't gonna give me bud, but because it was apart of her. When I lost a plant over vacation I was upset that she died a slow starvation. Not because i wouldn't be getting weed.

I love it and I hope something good works out for you. You should stand up for what you believe is right. People say going to jail over a plant isn't worth it, but sometimes it is.

I hear ya ... growing is something that'll make you look at life from a completely different point of view ... it gives you respect for all forms of life ...

............. and to the advice givers telling me that no plant is worth going to jail for ...well that's a matter of opinion, however i don't plan on making a statement ... I don't plan on growing, and i'm sure i'll have to stop medicating also ...
i threw the thread off with my rant in the beginning but my original reason for the post was ..was to see what other growers who've been caught in my situation do?

Ive tried to talk with people here about mmj . They just shut it down with oh they just want to get high . They say that cause they speak for themselves . But whats so wrong with that , catching a buzz . The alcoholics control a lot of shit ? Mj smokers dont I guess ?
