My harvest sucks

DUUUUDES-Not sure what I did wrong,but my weed tastes and smells like shit and barely gets me high. Its been curing for about week and a half. The SOUR DIESEL doesnt smell much like diesel. Maybe a little

You flushed it befor harvest correct? Then you chopped down the plant trimmed and manicured it hung it in dark place with good air movement til dry enough branch cracks when snapped? then you removed buds did final manicure then jarred it up without stuffing jars so air can surround it. then each day opened the jars for 5-10 minutes repeating until no more moisture was felt and buds felt solid and hard. then sealed up placed back in cool dark place for total of at least 30 days?

you should have planted more. and grown flower longer

How long did you let it flower? What did you go by to know it was ready to chop? What did you feed it? When did you flush it?
These things all effect the final product....
Sounds as if you chopped early-- did you maybe start counting days of flower as soon as they went into 12/12? it's THE biggest harvesting mistake made... can mean you harvested 2-3 weeks early, losing potency, flavor, aroma and about 1/3 of your yield!

I vegged for 4 months. I flowered until I thought trich were ready. My eyes suck so that could be an issue. I let then dry at temps of 68-73degrees and 36% humidity for 5-7 days at which time they were crumbling dry. Jarred em on 3-13,14,15. Maybe I dont have the green thumb. I'm scared to try again, and fuck it up again, but I do want to grow. What I'd like to do is get a location and a proven grower to manage my crop. I'm willing to finance the grow as long as I have someone who knows what they are doing and can grow great meds.
Anyway. I'm praying that a cure is all I need, but not very hopeful.

You can pay for someone to grow great meds for you by going to your local dispensary and picking up an OZ of OG. Am I missing something? -S0uP

Id love to spend hours,days weeks months of blood sweat and tears growing your garden, nah I'll stick to mine, Perfect your craft learn study experiment and learn more read everything you can reanalyze your whole operation, I always keep a notebook of things iI want to try differently, ask myself all the time what could i do better

You need a scope of some kind to check trichome cloudiness to amber ratio. I picked up a 30x jeweler's loop on amazon for under 10 bucks.

I had to take a plant 2.5 weeks early and the high I got from those buds are as you described, no potency... all clear trichomes. I also think you let it dry for too long, adding to the harshness of the bud. Once you over dry your buds, there is no way to properly cure them.

Don't give up though brother. We all have green thumbs. A few tweaks and those could have been the best buds you ever smoked! Give it another go. Growing your own is so gratifying and going to save you shit tons vs what AZ dispensaries will do to your wallet. Take advantage of your grow rights while they exist in AZ. Unless you're in nowhere, AZ, a dispensary will be opening up next to you soon.

I guess that rant is based on my assumption that you are a green card holder (patient). Fuck the 25 mile rule! And if you're not, that's cool too. Fuck marijuana prohibition!

What kind of lights did you use and what were the seeds?

The problem was in the dry/cure process... is where I'd place my bet. How long did you dry it? What technique used? How much curing did you use? Technique used?

My first batches of homebrew didn't taste so great but I am sure as hell enjoying what I brew now. Now I am learning this grow skill. First grow was a disaster but learned a ton. Second went pretty well if it weren't for the fact they were hermie clones. Point being that the current new grow likely won't end up as bonafide as I'd like but I will learn some more. It's a craft and none are simple.


Sounds like you let them get too dried out. Next time you will know to jar them sooner and slowly get the moosture out. Not being potent could be timing of harvest or genetics. I only like a mild med so I was happy with leaf clippings (properly cured).

It could have been so many different variables was that really diesel? Where was the source of the clone how many generations where there. How long did it flower? wat u feed it? did u flush it?was it healthy when it was harvested but even with little to no info I would guess a mixture of a immature plant that wasn't dried and cured properly thts no need to quite my first grow got grabbed by the law lol

The AZ. law is as fucking stupid as the politicians that tried to stop the voted passed legislation. That is all I will say on the web about the AZ law.
It sounds like you harvested too early, even if you cured bad, the pot still should have gotten you high. A 40x loop is only $10 and well worth the investment.
My eyes suck too and when I know it's getting close I clip a lower bud and take it into the bright AZ sun and take a good long look under the loop.

In the bright AZ sun huh..I was born in Phoenix, and raised in Buckeye off I-10...Haven't been there in almost 30 years, it was tumbleweed, dry riverbeds, and roadrunners when I left...lol...southwest missouri suites me fine though
