my harvest is almost ready!

I have three plants in milk gallon containers that I cut the top off of. The soil is probably taking up like a half gallon of volume. I am flushing them tomorrow and planning on watering again on Monday and then harvesting on Wednesday.

Is this not enough time for the flushing? I'm not sure because they are in such small pots. Should I wait at least a week until I cut them after the initial flush? I have been using chemicals and want nice clean bud. How long do you guys think they should be flushed for?

I should probably also add that there are almost no fan leaves left because they have all died and fell off. The only ones that are left are the ones in the buds, and there aren't that many of those either because a lot got burned by the lights (CFL's) when the plants grew into the lights. I don't know if this lack of leaves is good or bad

how tall are the plants? You generally need 1 dry gallon of soil for every foot of growth. That could explain your fan leaf problem, and the burning also. But live and learn, right? Two weeks is what I do. The lack of leaves could be bad depending on how long he plant has been without them. It needs those leaves to get light and grow properly, but if it happened late in the flowering process, I think you should be okay.

That's fine, that just means the buds sucked up all the goodies outta them leaves. nevermind how much soil he had now, it almost done. Hope u got drainage holes, or this'll never work, but If u want to flush em quick, and u only got 1/2 gal. of soil, get 3 gal. of distilled water(that's 3times the amount of soil u have) pour it slowly like ur waterin and let it all go through the pot/JUG. This will remove any nasty nutes left. Ur plant will look ill till the soil dries up enough to water again, that's because the flushing is starving the roots of o2, just be sure to let it drie out real good before u water again. From then on, to make sure u don't get any nasty nute flavors in the end, use only use straight water, with molasses if u wish, until the final harvest. Good luck.

Alot of people swear by it. Personally, I want some of that sweet flavor in my buds. when u 'flush' a plant, ur basically removing everything from the soil. Nutes taste like shit in ur weed, thats why u flush em out with water. Molasses is basically pure sugar in a somewhat liquid form, which just so happens to dssolve in water, its high in potassium, and also has some calcium and manesium as well.
