my grow seems a bit slow, what could be wrong..?

hey, iv been growing my plants about 2/3 weeks now from germination, my biggest plant is 4in, there is not alot of foilage yet either.. i can ONLY find warm white cfls 2700k, would that be why my growth is a bit slow, i am doing everything else as advised.. i hav enough lumens/sq ft, bulbs are all within 2in of plants at least etc...??

please help ;-)

Hi Ya :)

Welcome to RiU :)

Your light is fine , The fact that it's close makes your plant form new leaves ( Nodes ) tight together ...so it can look like not a lot is happening and no growth .

plant looks fine , The period between germination and veg growth can seem to take forever at first , Don't worry ... they will soon take off :)

When you pot them up to bigger pots they will go nuts :)

What nutrients are you using ?... tell us a bit about your grow :)

get a few 5000's or 6500k CFL's that's what you want for vegging
then switch over to the 2700k's when it comes time to flower which might
be in 8 to 12 weeks

I would get your light to be about in inch or two from each plant (yes a lot of adjustment but thats because you have multiple lights.

Head out and just buy a t8 bulb with 6500k spec and have the thingy to plug it into and you should be good just off of that.

nope no miracle grow im using tomato food.. also cant find any 5000-6000 spec cfls anywhere so have no choice but to use the 2700!! dont know why just all hardware stores stock is warm white, i live in ireland any1 know where i can get them??

water every 2nd day, spray every other and feed every 5 days, will increase that to 3 or 4 soon

seeds were given to me by a friend so am just seeing how i get on for my 1st grow before buying more on the net

i ventilate room by opening closet door few times a day... tks for the help keep in coming :)

go to lowes or home depot they got a shit load on stock.

And bring a fan in ur closet. and leave that door open, thats some bunk ass stale air.

also so your using tomatoe food? just use good soil and get like.. some kinda liquid mixture that you dilute in water and water with that m8 :]
