My Grow Room Idea [pictures]

Ok so my idea is this..

Get one of these.. and cut a rectangle shape out of the lid of the box.
And attach the lights. If it's to low add one more box. These are really cheap and can be found at any grocery store. All you have to do is stack them.

400 Watt, Clear ED18 (ET18) High Pressure Sodium Bulb

I could also cut a box in the plastic to install a nice fan..

Let me know what you think!

I believe you're going to run into problems with temperature and humidity with a setup like that. Is that your only option?

6 separate 250 watt CFLs? Is that a typo? I don't even think they make bulbs that large, and the bin would melt...

hey, sorry but i dont really think its gonna work, first, your light is way to "hot for a space that small and made out of plastic, (it might be better to grow in a wood thing (something made of wood) and second your not going to get very far with a usb powered fan that kind of lamp needs much more ventilation so you dont melt everything down and burn your house down

i hope this helped,
and be CAREFUL

Hahaha this idea of a grow room is ridiculous.

Even if the Rubbermade tote didn't melt, there's absolutely no vertical room for a plant to survive under a 400w HPS bulb in there.
And lets say it did work.... your walls are transparent and wouldn't direct light back onto the plants.

Look into converting an old dresser, file cabinet, or PC tower if you're looking for something super stealthy and on a very small scale.
