My Grow box! (Just winging it)

Hey guys this is my first grow and id like to share it with you guys!
One day i was bored and stumbled upon rollitup and after reading around and checking out some grows i decided i would try a lil grow. Something like a pc case grow with CFL's. That looked really interesting to me, especially after seeing Penyajo's grow. So i set out on finding something of similar size and shape to grow in, and ahhh guess what i stumble upon in my building! A old speaker box i had for a 15" woofer so its pretty big.


SOOOOOO i went to walmart and got a few things....
I picked up three 2700K CFLS All i can find around here, sorry guys dont hate lol
and one 6500k for some vegging? I found this wind sheild heat reflector stuff and it was double sided and cheap. i also grabbed the 'max reflection' one.
This is my first grow and im using some old reggie seeds He's hiding in there.....
My truck was looking good in the sun lol smoke break! then to work!
found me a nice plant pot to fit in there. this is the outside, its only about a foot wide so i was thinking some horizontal LST (i think its called)
This is how i got the lights set up. I was thinking one week 18/12 and Then 12/12 from then on out.

Make-shift exhaust port with dryer sheets. 10 points for trying? haha

looks good man.. that topsoil needs a little sprucing up..

add perlite vermicultie etc.

topsoil is usually an additive, not really a medium..

What kind of fan are you using? carbon filter?

I am making a box myself man... its just a little ways down on the forum check it out.. drop a line

The pictures are all sideways from my phone /; The port is bottom left of the box, this is how the box sits on "grow stage"

Im using some regular little fans blowing air through those dryer sheets to 'freshen up the smell' i have pc fans at the top blowing air down and into the exaust fan.
I dont like my soil either, the nearest hydroponics store is about 2 hours away... im going to go to the farm store pick up some nutrients.

get a bag miracle grow man... and dont add nutes! not for a good while atleast... Everyone talks shit on MG but its pretty good man

Im so torn on the MG, some people say no, some people say yeah. im just looking for a nice reggie grow that is simple and as least water as possible.

Water would be the cheapest part of this grow.

i use the same topsoil brand but add 30% perlite 20% spagnum and lime
to one bag

nothing wrong with MG, if your going to get it, grab the MG organic potting mix, and a 3 dollar bag of the perlite, mix a 50/50 of it and rock out..won't need to add any nutes until about 3-4 weeks..
heres the thing with MG...the ones that say its shit..dont use it..the ones who say yeah its good nothing wrong with it...use it..usually i take info on a product based off the people who actually use the stuff

he has scotts organic topsoil i think
just have to pick the wood out of it and add the additives
but mg is ok for plants if u watch how much nutes u add yes i said u can use mg to all the mg haters u dont like it send him some prepaid foxfarms or be quiet

Im not really worried about money this grow, (spent <$50 so far) its just i have to access my hidden grow box between school and work. so i can only check it around twice a day.

Walmart is basically the only place unti i go to the feed mill. i can probably pick some up there. i just grabbed this cause it was the only thing that i saw besides MG and was 'organic'

thanks for stopping by im sure if he is a new grow bitten with the grow bug he will has alot of ?

worm castings are always a good addition to your soil mix....some home depots carry them some dont.....local garden center should have some....mine was out so i got mine off e-bay....

fabfun knows wat he is talking about... MG is good shit. just be easy on the nutes, let the plants do the talkin +rep
