My plants have been growing in the mid 80's their whole life and they are doing fine. Get bigger lights with 5500k-6500k spectrum for vegging. Then go 27k for the flowering. Get fan on the plants.
You might want to get the temps down around 76 degrees if possible, but 80 will work if you can't. As long as it's the ambient temp and you're not frying the top of the plant. The humidity in veg should be around 50%-60%. Put some shallow pans of water in there and it should go up. The soil looks plenty wet for now. You probably won't need to water again for close to a week. When you think it needs watering, stick your finger into the dirt up to your second knuckle. If the dirt is still moist down that deep it doesn't need water. You want the dirt to dry out a bit now so your plants roots go searching for water. NO NUTES for at least 2-3 weeks, more like three. Put the lights on for 18 hours, off for 6. You're trying to duplicate it's NATURAL environment, and there ain't too many places in the pot growing world that get light 24 hours a day. Lots of ppl go with the 24 HR deal, but I never saw the benefit of it. The plant will grow just fine, better than fine, with 18 hours of light, and it'll save a little $$ on your electric bill too.Alright so Antman.. I took the water out of the cup, gave my plug a little sqeeze and a bit of water came out. Not I just did what you said and turned all but two of the lights off... So in a few days when it gets to be about 4-6 inches tall, what ideal temp. should I have in the closet? It's around 80 now. Humidity is at 45.
18/6 will definately not make your plant strectch. Ive grown 18/6 all my life with excellent results. If they stretched for you it was probably coz ure lights werent good enough.Your temps are surely droping during nighttime. Just make sure they dont sink under 60F.
24/0 will make your plant bushy, 18/6 will make it stretchy. Your choice.
