My first Journal

I've tried to grow only twice before this using seeds in soil and both times with not very much success.
The plants germinated fine but when I put them in a pot and watered them, the leaves started drying out, curling and all growth stopped.
So I decided to try a third time but switched to a DWC system.

Planted seed in moist rockwool cube under a plastic dome that I put on my cable box to provide heat.

Put the seedling in hydro setup and lights are approx. 14" high from seedling.
From what I'm reading on the internet, there are many variations on when I should have introduced the seedling to the DWC and the distance to the lights. I left the seedling in the dome as long as possible to wait to see the taproot come through the bottom but it was getting too tall and curling under the top of the dome.
Hopefully it will be ok.

Well my third plant failed as well but it was my first using DWC so I tried again!
This following are the steps I went through to get to where I am.

• November 16 - I germinated my seed in a 1" rockwool
• November 21 - Took seedling out from dome and put under light
• November 23 - Roots showing through bottom
• November 24 - Prepping for transplanting seedling into DWC
• This is what I did different
• Started a log book!!!
• Made sure PH was 5.5 - 6.0.
• Added Grow nutes to half strength 5 mil.
• Checked PPM (270)
• Transplanted to DWC
• November 25 - Plant seems to be doing pretty good so I'll cross my fingers.
