My first indoor grow

Just a tip, when starting nutes go for 1/4 strength first for 2 weeks then move up to 1/2 strength. Even at 1/2 strength you can over fert a plant. Last year with my outdoor grow I started getting minor nute burn at 1/2 strength and had to tone it down a bit

im definatley learning that! im going down to 1/4 for their next feed since even 1/2 was too much last week. i had them starting to look better and all the new growth was clean and green, but i fed at 1/2 strength on dec. 21, then watered on the 27th and by the time it was ready for the next water after that one, new growth was starting to brown again. :( so it took a week and a half for them to react to the 1/2 strength feed i did on the 21st i guess..
arrrgh im getting frustrated with all the brown! here are some pictures from today :

the leaves ((starting with newest growth it seems)) are turning brown all along the serrated edges and the tips curl up. theyre crispy so just touching the tips will break them off. almost every leaf on the tops is affected. the only plant not doing this is my barneys blue cheese. im thinking i should give them a 3rd watering before a feed at 1/4 strength this time, but ill most likely stick to 1/2 strength for the BBC since shes lovin it! im mad at myself for not dropping down to 1/4 strength last time but i thought for sure that 1/2 would be good. but hey! ive learned something :)

anyways, thats the update! kinda ugly and sick looking, but..eh..im tryin :)

That doesn't look like burn to me dude.
Give us pics of the whole plant so we can see the lower growth too.

I 2nd the above, looks like a deficiency to me. If that is your feeding schedule i would check the ph of your runoff you might be locking something out.

ok thanks for the tip, heres some more pictures of an entire plant, this one is the worst looking one from all angles

some of the lower leaves are affected as well but thats mostly from the first time they started looking sick. the newest ones affected were all the tops and maybe a few lower leaves. i have tested my tap water PH but not the runoff yet, theyre looking like they might need a drink tomorrow so ill be sure to do it then. lockout is a very good possibility since they had issues before, which looked like nitrogen overabundance since my leaves were all wicked wicked dark and starting to 'claw' but that has since cleared up. no more claws, no more super dark leaves. only brown crunchy spots. ill eventually have it figured out i hope!

on the bright side i found a single seed on a counter top i was cleaning today! ((i clean condos at a ski resort)) kept it, its prolly nothing special but i might give it a try and see what i get! :)

thanks for the ideas everyone! take care! :)

That is long past well enough established to be able to handle a full strength (according to directions) feed.
I agree with NH.......
Any idea what your PH is before we suggest upping feed strength?
You mentioned you checked tap, but don't tell what it is.
The lightening of leafs looks like deficiency starting, and the brown tips could be a progression of that, either N or Ca/Mg.
I have one that's a nute whore, and as soon as she starts getting a couple yellow like that, if I don't feed almost right away, even if not ready for water yet, the discoloration will progress quickly.
It usually starts with the large older fan leafs towards the bottom, but can move around quickly.

ph of tap water is 6.4, runoff is 6.0, just tested it like 10 minutes ago.
i dont test nutes once theyre mixed up since it says theres no need to..
i know 6.4 is a little high, but is it high enough to be the culprit?

You should check PH after mixing chemicals sometimes my chemical reading is over 7 after mixing them into my water which is at 6.9 normally. I end up putting a PH down about 1 cup into my 75 galloon res to bring the mix down to around 6.2. I didn't realize how important PH was until I started growing hydro and talking to the pros on RIU. I read where you found a random seed at work that's pretty cool I love to take chances on unknown seed strains some times your surprised at the out come! If you ever want to try any Girl Scouts seeds let me know I have a great pure strain and a lemon diesel GSC cross. I just started breeding seeds a couple cycles ago and had good luck with it. I'm in the process of crossing my GSC strain and Blue Dream with a purple indicia stain that I received from a friend on RIU. I'm looking forward to the girls from that mix. Happy smoking I'm heading upstairs to my grow to do some leaf removal I cant even walk through my room. I guess that's not a big problem at all!
