I am a first timer setting up an attic grow. It has been a hell of a project but I'm almost at go time. I am about 2 weeks away from germinating seeds. Here is a link to the "project." As you can see, I am in the learning curve:

Yea, I am trying to get by without the CalMag, but ended up having to use it during the last couple weeks of my current grow, but then again, I just discovered my Hanna PH Pen has not been necessarily giving me correct numbers (piece of shit).. So I may have been compensating when I didnt necessarily need to,, I believe my PH being off has been showing me deficiencies that were not actually there (had my ph been in check).

None the less, that grow is just about complete, and the New Girls are now getting prepped and my PH should be a little more in balance, so YES, I am working the 3 Part bottle formula without the CalMag.

NOTE -- The last 3 runs, I have been keeping mothers, and they Looked REALLY Good with just the 3 Part formula and NO CalMag. It seems once you get into Flower is when it really makes itself known,, But I suppose as long as you are feeding the right amount per bottle, there should be enough provided in all 3 Parts to get us through the grow. Right now in VEG its a simple 1:1:1 Ratio, which works great.. When you move into Flower it becomes more of a 1:1:2 or 1:1:3 ratio in order to keep enough CalMag running through the system.

I just popped an Afghan Kush seed a couple of weeks ago, and she has been doing great in the Hempy.. She just got transplanted into her 3 Gallon Bucket today..

My Hanna pH meter sucks too....even after replacing the electrode...I keep telling myself to to chunk it in the trash.
