that would be for you to decide once you have tried it several different ways and gotten final results- with different strains and different grow conditions/lighting etc.Sorry man I jumped the gun lol..
So did I do it wrong ?
Do you know where that technique comes from?Really hard to tell. But that sentence sounded really Canadian to me lol. Jk. I tried to do what he just explained a sec ago. And will try again next time. There's a lot of different ways. Yours will grow. But I think that topping might have been too close to the node that is now your top node. Follow some of these experienced members journals like he said. That's what I do a lot of. There's some way that you can top plants to make them automatically spit out 4 shoots. The thing that will help you which was already kinda said but... Understanding how a plant will react to what your doing. Predicting what it's going to do when you tie it down and train and top it. My thoughts are to make it grow like.... Hold your hand out open and like a claw. All the branches spread out far so the light gets to the undergrowth. but that may not be what your trying to do.
well they didn't usually pinch the fruit trees, sometimes, but not usually. trees grow differently so the technique is applied differently, but the goal and reasoning is the same- increase fruit production^^ yea the one where you pinch it to Create like a little bowl of the top leaves. It's a pretty cool idea. I only tried it once and I think 3 came out or something lol. I don't remeber. Going to start logging things next grow. Growing my mother cheese up a bit
True..gonna leave em as is and water in a few hours with just PhD water then later when light.comes on I'm gonna trim a couple leaves closest to the dirtI think you should veg them for another few weeks until their about 1' tall or more. Top again or don't. I think then you'll have the chance to yeild a lot. Their looking real good. Long as you get your nutes and ph good throughout flower you be good. Those lights are strong
You should not be trimming any leaves off those babies unless they are yellowing or dried up imo . They are all solar panels trying to soak up the 2k worth of light you are supplying them . As others have said keep it simple . Water good and let dry till the pots feel light when u pick them up .True..gonna leave em as is and water in a few hours with just PhD water then later when light.comes on I'm gonna trim a couple leaves closest to the dirt
I read if I trim under where I topped more energy goes to the top? ThxYou should not be trimming any leaves off those babies unless they are yellowing or dried up imo . Ya I really need to get a tent for vegging..gotta get through this one though..gotta keep light almost 2.5 ft awaylooks like you are doing good. be patient growing from seed the plants will not even flower until they are mature(showing preflowers). so to flip them before then will just make smaller plants.(will still be vegging under 12 hours of light until they are mature). if it was me and have the room you do either i would clone them to fill the room up or veg for another 30-60 days. if running 2 1000 watts to get good yield you should be pulling a pound per light. if you flip in 2 weeks i am guessing 10-12 ounces total if all goes well. i guess what i am saying is to get yield either veg or get more numbers if yield is what your after.
They look good. Strong green and perkyI topped once I think ima leave em two or 3 weeks n flower
Think I'll get at least half oz off each ? Should I trim the lower branches closest to dirt ?
