My First Grow!

o sry to keep you waiting. im currently not at my house and the strains are just swag weed that my friend gave to me. nothin special. but this is my first time grow and didnt want to go all out.

Piece of advice. Get those plants out of clear containers. You don't want the roots to be exposed to light.

From experience light does not effect root growth. However light and open air does kill roots. /i have grown in clear containers and had no problems. Maybe if you over water algae will form.

I'd say first off bigger containers with only one plant in each.

Just some advice keep growin.

yeah. soon i will be transplanting as soon as they get bigger. i have heard that whole deal with light hitting the roots isnt good and it went right over my head and forgot all about it while setting up. i just put layers of white paper around the containers. ill post picture of that. not till tomorrow tho. :P
i just ordered a 150w hps light. i think it will be perfect for what im doing in my closet. i could get a 1000 watter but no $ plus heat. lol

Only part I don't like about this is the plastic bottles. I know they still seem small but you gotta give them roots room to grow, otherwise your looking at root bound.

haha i am seriously on a budget..going from week to week on supplys. this was just to get it started. soon i will have enough money to get pots or something bigger. trust me, they are not staying in those bottles. if it was up to me, i would have pots made out of gold.

You will be fine in those bottles for now, there's plenty of us on here that have completed grows in party cups.. Some nice pots and soil will definitely help increase your yield though! Everything you need to know is on this forum and you seem to be starting out pretty good so just take it slow and improve as you grow. You will be supprised what you will learn by the end of this grow! Oh and that hps is a great idea! Another good investement would be a thermometer and hygrometer, you can pick them up for around 10 bucks at walmart. I would also look into a way to check you ph, strips, pen whatever just keep a close eye on that. What nutes do you plan on running? Just some standard things I was thinking you might want to look into. Good luck, I'm subbed to help all I can along the way!
