My first grow, useing Aerofram

I have a few quick questions in regards to the fans your using at the bottom of the room:

What are the specs of them (a link to the item from shopping site will help)?

How loud/quit is it?

Im only asking because I have my eye on one of those but Ill be using it in a drying chamber.

from the looks of his setup, he's somewhere in europe, those may be the equivilent to inline duct fans from home depot, but im not sure, you can use cheap bathroom exhaust fans for drying chambers, i built one out of a rubbermade and used 2, one to push fresh air in, and one to suck air out, just look into cfms and your chamber space as if your were designing your space. also you can use a 4inch inline duct fan like 90cfm pretty cheap too, Al B fuct has a thread on rubbermade drying tubs using PC fans, but i wasnt looking to re-wire shit

Ive seen Al B fuct drying tub but I already have a little area so Ill utilise it, Im just searching for the most silent fan possible, Ive considered PC fans but Im not sure If itll provide enough sucktion through my home made CO2 flter. Thanks for the input mate.

Don't worry about overwatering-it is not possible for you to do that in an aerofarm really. Overwatering is because so much water prevents oxygen getting to the roots, no problem for you because you spray the roots and they are not in water all the time. In dwc it is ok for the roots to be in the water because the water has added oxygen. Also it is ok for the aerofarm plants to have roots in the water, because the spray hits the water and oxygenates it, but it would be better with more oxygen, so I will probably use an airstone in the water when the roots get in the water.

You could run your pump 24/7 with no problem, it will not overwater. But it might make better plants to have some dry time for the roots.

yes if in DWC the roots would drown, thats why an air pump is vital, see why the pump is required in all hydro systems?

i agree, the spashing from the sprayers make super oxygenated water along with an air stone...there you have better performance with aero as opposed to other systems

Question: -what do those sprayers look like under the lid ? are they just 2 or 3 - 360* nozzels or are those tube hooked to something inside the res. just curious. thanks
Answer:-They are 2 nozzels which spray 180* degrees. Tomorrow I'm going to take some new Pics of the root & will take Pics of the nozzels inside the reservoir just for you bro..

Answer:- The only Specs i have is 100-CZ & I really dont no what that means..lol

hello Boodacious, i hope all is going well. i hope to have my aerofarm up and running in 2 or 3 weeks, my little seedlings are surviving, then i will tranplant them to the aerofarm, can't wait!!!!! i am kinda worried that the pump being in the water will heat the water up too much though, do you know what your water temp is? just so you know, ideally it should be 68f or your roots can go bad.
