My first grow tips welcome

Hey guys this is my first grow i know it doesnt look to pretty but i would like some tips from some people see what im doing wrong and what i can improve on
my first mistake was not really counting weeks into my grow i think i started on dec 26 2012 my light is a glow light from like walmart

SPEC ON LIGHT
24 inch flurescent light
120v 60hz 17w 300Ma

its on a timer about 18 on 5 off

i just started using a fan for breeze i think thats why my plants arnt strong lmao so any tips etc please dont hate on my setup i tryed for my first time lol

One light? And those bulbe are 7800k. I used for about two weeks and got rid of it. If your going to try and stick with those lights ide get alot more.. They worked ok for me for seedlings but def not anuf for flowering. And u said 18/5?

they look stretched, i agree with noob grower, get more lights, and keep them 3 inches from your tops to avoid stretching.

can i use reg lights like the twisted ones?

what should i do about the streching lower the light wouldnt that burn the plant??

hey i have this lamp im not using it yet i wanna know if i can use it its a haulgin lamp i spell that wrong but you know wha ti mean let me know if i can use this and how far should i put it since i know this puts off alot of heat

Twisty one as in cfls? Lol yeh go n buy like 5/10 of em i used 6500ks 9 of em.. And mine were started on dec 4th ibelive. U can get a surge protector n hook alot of em up. Keep a eye on ur temps and def get lights closer.. Thats if u want em lookin short n fat like these.2013-01-24 07.28.17.jpg

to make my plants shorter do i bury the stem in the dirt to shorten it and i now have that light i posted in the first pic and added 1 twisted lamp so should i shorten them to make them stronger?

U need grow lights. Go to wm n pick up some 5700/6500k cfls. And yes when u move them to bigger pot u can move them deeper up to ur first set of leafs. Dont waste ur time with wrong bulbs :/ u got therm n hunidity guage? N wat kind of soil n what r u watering with

You need to lower your light to like 2 or 3 inches above those plants,its to far thats why there all stretched out like that.I would be lookin to get some cfls to put around them at least.

im using mircle grow soil and tap water i let the water sit out for 24 hours before using it and no i dont have the temp gauge or hud gauge i will buy them today tho and ph tester i have the same bulbs as u i just have 1 grow light and 1 cfls light

unfortunately with cfls you needs a scary amount of bulbs. right now i have one seedling with 4 23w 2700k on it. the seedling is an inch or two away from one of the bulbs. its one socket with a bulb splitter with two more splittlers in the splitter so it can hold four bulbs. i plan on getting a surge protector with two socket plugs with a splitter each for fit 4 more of the same bulbs. hopefully 8 23w bulbs will get the job done on one plant lol
