my first grow room pics needs critiquing

Hi, im extremely new to this i just threw this grow room together with all the knowlege i know (not much). i just want some tips and tricks from the pros. so please look at these pics and see if i need to add or remove or change anything at all.

lamps are just some old shop lights i found in my barn. accually tbh everything in here is what i found in the barn haha. the lamps say cool white, lights of america and verilux. there are 3 4' shop lights. the potting mix in the top right is miracle grow and the wall is just plain white. the blanket on the ground is just a hemp cloth. hope thats enough info if you need more i will be happy to give it to you.

the lights i have been told are t12's with reflectors if this helps
i will get a fan to put in and make sure you see the pic of the window thats where the fresh air will come in.
should i bag the fluorescents and get a 400w metal halide?

What are you trying to do? Grow weed?
Those shop lights will work for a couple of months during vegging, but you certainly won't get any bud, not anything worth bragging about.
You'll need better lighting, and something that will bring fresh air into that closet, also a fan inside to keep the air circulating.
Also get some reading material, on how to grow indoors.

So you plan on leaving that door open all the time? Put atleast a small fan on the Plants to thicken up the stems once they start to bulk up atleast.

this guy Jigfresh has almost the same size room you do check out his area get some really good ideas and you can get crazy in there

It actually looks pretty decent for a first time setup. I would drop that light down to a couple inches from the pots and keep them that close to you plants from here on out. Also I would invest in some compact flouros to ad more light and allow you to also focus on lower budsits later. Also, you can get bud that is decent from flourescents, I always have. the yeild is always a little lacking though. good luck. These were grown with only flouescents

Are you just doing the one plant? If so a 400 hundred watt should take care of it easy. You want to try and get stuff you can use when or if you upgrade for instance if you look at your pics your only using about a third of that closet. when you upgrade I would do a bunch of smaller plants and add a shelf in there and put plants on that 2 with another 400 watt that way your not wasting all that space. so get a good fan and a good light and some better soil like fox farm's ocean forrest then spend some time reading here and you should be good to go. lose the blanket and get some thing waterproof, and a single layer is better. like, dont fold a tarp in half a few times to fit in thier or it will start to mold in folds. to grow indoors is cool but to grow indoors and not leave a mark is better
