My first grow...real slow

To find out if it's a boy or girl you have to switch it to a 12 hours on, 12 off cycle, then it will start to produce flowers. You only want the flowers from a female plant. If you buy seeds, you can get 'feminised' seeds which only produce females. Right now you have a 50/50 chance that you are wasting your time, if that is your only plant.

You should probably start reading up on some stuff. I'd recommend starting here:

Or you can wait for the plant to fully mature in veg ~3 months and it'll throw preflowers without forcing it to flower. But as most indoor grows don't run full cycle, it's usually easier to take a clone and stock it on 12/12 to determine gender of the parents. Really just depends on your time, space and setup.

I was hoping the Sour Kosher was going to be ready soon, but it may be a week or so yet I think. The Holy Grail Kush doesn't look as far along as the Sour Kosher.

they are looking nice man my sk is starting week 6 flowering looks a lot like some of your older pics got tangie kosher going aswell and it looks so good. i no someone who grows holy grail and when you get it off him it is unbelievable hope too see how they turn out that is the tangie kosher few days ago

Thanks, I'm hoping the Holy Grail is as good as the claims. neither of the 2 that I managed not to screw up were as impressive looking as the SK. What do you think about the Tangie Kosher? Have you had a chance to smoke some yet? I was thinking about getting a pack of Tangie seeds, but I kind of have my hands full right now.

Also, I'm trying to get a hold of some C-99 seeds from Peak Seeds BC. It might be fun to cross them with the two strains that I already have on the grow.

i havent had the chance to smoke the tangie kosher yet but from growing it i like it smells so nice defo got some tangie smells in mine get very streachy in flowing tho

So...Harvest Time! Two days ago anyway. On the 15th, , I cut down the Sour Kosher and two Holy Grail Kush plants and lopped off the fan leaves. Everything is in my high tech drying compartment (read: the closet in the spare bedroom). Not too much to say other than that; total time from seed to harvest was 4 days shy of 5 months. Pics to follow!

Well, my first grow was not too bad. Three plants, approximately 355g total yield.


I'll post smoke reports over the weekend. Okay, maybe after the weekend if all goes well! :bigjoint:

Thanks to all who helped and to this whole site in general. It has been an invaluable asset in the learning process.

Nice job bro 4 you're 1st grow. :clap: Sorry If I Missed You Saying It But What Nutes Did You Go with? That kosher is a super good strain!! I have ran it on the past. As a matter of fact I have one germing now. (: what was the stink like, did you have to use any type of exhaust system? ? Also when you harvested what was your trichcomes looking like?? Again great job bro..

Thanks, I'm enjoying the fruits of my labour as I type this! My house was pretty potty smelling, I need to get a carbon filter, I'm just venting through an in-line fan, into the basement. I used Dutch Nutrient Formula's Grow A and B for the veg stage and then I found a local shop with a nice, in house brand, consisting of a two part formula for the flowering stage. I vegged under a 1000W MH light and swapped it out for a 1000W HPS light for flowering.

The trichomes had turned cloudy with the occasional amber one here and there.

I'm vaping the Sour Kosher right now, and it's quite tasty. A nice heady high, not much of a body buzz though. The Holy Grail Kush is really good too. It's a nice stoney high with a strong body buzz. Great for pain relief, appetite stimulation, and insomnia.

I just started 5 C-99's yesterday and am trying to clone 3 more Sour Koshers, in a used Aerogarden that I bought for $6; and I think it's actually working!

Sounds kick ass bro. Can't beat 6 bucks for a aero for sure ! Yeah I like me the strains that relieve pain. I'm working with a Doggies Nuts G13 x Sincity Cherry Fuel x Dr. Grinspoon. Een working with it for a few years now. I also have a few other crosses I'm working with and still trying to perfect (; just got back into the swing of things since a long overdue break from it all. .
