My First Grow: Northern Lights

It grows insanely fast! Eventually (hopefully soon) I'll tranplant her into a 2.6 gallon Air Pot with some BioBizz All-Mix soil
I bought today. I've only read good stuff about Air Pots and decided to try one out since the roots is the key (also what I've read)

Anyway, thanks for looking and any feedback/help/guidance is more than welcome!

I think I've been overwatering, the leafs are kinda droopy.
Will dry her up and transplant her into the final pot during the coming week.

Lookin good. You still drying them up for transplant?

Looking Great man, really healthy. but i agree with gingerbuddha its best to transplant her before she gets rootbound and slow growth in the flowering stage. IMO 3-5 gallons pots are the best.

Well, apparantly now I'll get the soil on wednesday. I really thought I would get it today but there was some kind of delivery failure. So on wednesday I'll transplant her into a Air Pot 10 liter with new better soil since I think this soil is slowing down her growth. It's really, really bad soil.

So I did water her today so she'll be dried up for transplant on wednesday.

so far so good! NL was part of my first grow. Its a fairly tough plant that can stand up to a lot of stress (heat, bugs). mine had the most delicious and fruity smell while on the plant. keep it up!

Would you care to describe how you grew your NL? Lightnings, veg- and flower time? And how was the smell?
The main reason I went with NL (and probably will for some time) is that it's known to be a low odour.

Is it ready to be topped/FIMed? If not, at what week do you usually top/FIM your plant?
Thinking of giving topping/FIM a try... And yes, I should cut my finger nails

What would be recommended? To FIM and transplant her at the same time, or transplant her and wait between 1-2 weeks then FIM?

EDIT #2: The plant has just finished her fifth pair of nodes.

Im wondering the same question (when to top/fimm). I do have a feeling though that you wouldn't want to top/fimm it until AFTER a successful transplant. Don't wanna stress the baby out too much at one time.

I had awesome success with low stress training. heres a link to my NL grow clicky

I used CFLs and really hated it. a buddy of mine used HPS but didnt have his nutrient homework done so it wasnt the best result either. however, both grows had a nice fruity smell that wasnt overpowering the rooms or anything.

Had a little problem yesterday. It was rootbound badly and the soil had a really, really bad pH (around 4.5-5.1!). Recieved my new fresh soil (BioBizz All-Mix) so I transplanted her into a 2.6 gallon Air Pot on the 13th and I did a flush to cleanse to soil around the roots.

She seemed to love it! Just 18-24 hours later she had improved significant!
I'm glad this happened, gives me experiences and learning to read the plants signs.

The strings is both a little LST but mainly helping the stem to get steady.

Yo, what up man. Shits looking good . Have you thought about giving it just a bit more nutes? the bottom leaves store nitrogen, and are using all of them, thats usually why they die this way. Just a thought.

Top that bitch if you are thinking about it. Just remember to cut as low as possible on your top, or else it will only shoot up in one spot instead of two lol happened to me the first two times i tried it. topping it younger is better IMO so that the stems can get harder and support the buds and branch out low. Dude and after you top it, new leaves and shoots shoot out of all of the nodes, its badass. and if you want to get crazy, cut below the highest branches so you have a mini looking plant and clone it. even if you dont need it, you will top it correctly and have another one Just read a couple threads on cloning in soil.

Oh ps, had the same rootbound problem so I know what thats like... freaked you the F out for a bit huh? lol

I'm using BioBizz Bio-Grow (8.0-2.0-6.0) and just started with 1 ml/l.
Been using 0.5 ml/l for the first 2-3 weeks. Maybe that's not enough?

Yeah I definitely will top her, probably on monday... giving her the weekend to get rooted.
Haha, yeah it totally freaked me out. I was like "F**K! Well... alright, this is over... let's start over!"

By the way, should I cut off the yellow leafs?
