My first grow (Noob Post)

So I am gooing to let my girls go at least another week or two, how do I know when they are mature?

Growth has seems slow, noticed the roots had grown around the bubble stones. Note to self use a deeper container next time. also read you could spray carbonated water on them for some extra co2, while this may still be up for debate ,t the stuff I got has no sodium and low minerals and it cost a buck and a half worth a shot. Pulled the bubble stones and cleaned them up. seeing a few hairs turn aber like maybe 3%. Pics next post.

I think I have had every problem in the book on my first grow. That being said I stand to harvest about an oz. Let me share some of the issue in my set up.


DWC Res not deep enough the roots ended up covering up and growing around air source limiting air out put.

I used plastic shoe boxes painted black with custom made netty type pots made of yogert cups and as a test an upside down power aid bottle, cheap yes they did work but lacked space for flowering.

my PVC pice air flow design is a joke even with only CCFL and LED run it was HOT in that small space.

CFL bulds my not produce as much heat as and HPS but they can get very hot in small spaces, 85-90' with my crap air flow.
The cheap 30w LED didnt seem to help to much but it cost 30 with shipping.Plants did Veg ok under it tho.
On the FLY modding growroom sucks. Have things right before you crack a bean.

I also belive the root system may have gotton shocked each time I changed the water, fill and drain seems much safer. I hope this helps out some fellow noobs. I'll post final results soon.I may even make a video.

How old are these girls?

8 weeks into flower.

9 weeks into flower going to cut in a day or two.
one has already been cut out 6 days ago.Yeild off that weak plant was maybe an 1/4 oz.

Decided to let them go at least another week.

Friday makes week 10 of Flower. The one on the left is growing long and skinny buds, will these ever swell?

Cut Down the girls today.

I don't have any thing to weight with, but with the other plant I cut a week and a half ago It really looks like about an OZ. I had so manys fails in my first grow I am just happy I ended up with some.Next Grow is going to be Some of that autoflower fems in my cab I may build a PC to Veg em up in and finish them in the cab, whilst starting new batch in the PC. I will post a new thread when I start.Thanks to all you people how helped me out, if not for this site the whole grow would have failed. As for the quality so far not to bad, not the best I have ever had however it will work for now.It's more of a lighter engery high, not a deep stone, doritos then nap high.
