My first grow (Need help)

All you have to do is look at how the light reflects off the walls bright as can be and then look at the big black spot around your pot. But what do I know

Def turn your light sideways, it's best for cfl's, not sure what the purpose of the rocks are for, never heard of it unless he suggested it for drainage, but not needed, as long as your soil is not too compact, better of adding perlite next time, of course more lights, the better the grow, good luck.

I put the plant closer, could you please check if this is good enough?

Told you twice already that cfls emit the majority of their light from the sides and to turn your light sideways, this is the third time. Just sayin

I though if I use a reflector it would be just as good sorry... Also i dunno how to put them sideways without falling tbh any suggestions?

Yea stretching is no good, my first plant was ten years ago and it was a plant that me and a friend found outside in someones front yard one night walking home. We took the plant not knowing a damn thing about growing and only have a 56k dial connection the internet wasnt really useable for information. I put that plant in my garage were my dad before leaving us had t8 lights hanging up when he worked on his corvette. I never once lowered the lights and i shit you not i ended up with a near 6 foot plant and harvested maybe 7 grams off of it. When i got the plant or rather when we stole the plant it was only a few inchs tall, and over a span of few months it stretch more then those damn stretch arm strong dolls from the 90s.

Also ditch that foil its worthless, get some panda film or something thats cheap and effective.

I thought aluminum foil works just as well?

O.K. Cyklos...go out and buy a grow bible and read it from cover to cover. Couple of pointers in the mean time, ditch the foil, white wall paint is cheapest and reflects the best. Your light needs to be horizontal, this allows for a better footprint and doesn't heat the ballast up leading to longer life. Reflector is a must with cfl's when used as main lighting. You can probably get within an inch of your plant without burning it. Next grow try to start in a smaller container first then work up to those pots. You have not mentioned ventilation, fresh air is a must and temp and humidity should also be watched. If you plan on using the cfl's all the way through flower then I would try to hoard an area in making your grow area only as big as you need it. JAS
