Day 29. I had some issue with my plants. The bottom leaves had necrotic spots and even noticed some tears in a couple of leaves. I've made several changes to my grow room, and when you change things it can make it hard to pinpoint the problem. So here was the list of things that could have caused the problem: heat stress, dense plant and lower leaves not getting light, gnats, ph lockout, nute burn, or some micronutrient deficiency. I moved the lights up and that has cured the heat stress. The plants stretched two inches in two days and the leaves are getting more light. Ph is about 7.0 which is a little high but should not cause lockout. I flushed both plants so that should cure any possible nute burn. I havent seen any gnats in over a week so I dont think that will be a factor going forward. I did add some molassis to the final flush to help w/ Iron, calcium, and mag micro nutes and to help promote micro bacteria to grow. Also added some epsom salt (mag sulfate). I think this is the problem. Learned today that MG soil does not have mag or calcuim. Signs of mag def. are: leave "praying to the light", necrotic spoting, and leave tearing. Plant are doing much better today and seemed to be making a full recovery. Might still need to add some more mag but think the plants are doing well.
