My first grow - Jacky White + G-bomb!

2 weeks from germination

all lookin healthy for 2 weeks. bout the same as mine look. but how come theres only 8 now??

It mentions a few posts back that two of the g-bombs died

Gonna veg these for a couple more weeks and see how they are doing, hopefully they beef up quite nicely, the rate in growth with the 600w is cool

ahh thats too bad. didnt see that. or i did and forgot haha. yeah i was plannin on veggin after about 4 weeks but i dont think theyll be quite big enough yet its already day 25...

Yeah, I'm the same. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

What strains are you growing again?

2 northern lights, 2 california indica, 2 skywalker, 2 g13 haze and 4 purple trainwreck... i somehow managed to fit a dozen in my homebox xs

NICE choices man. I was thinking about purple wreck for this grow, but decided on two strains for the first grow. Keep things more simple.

Can't wait to see how they start smelling, the Jacky White is supposed to start smelling of grapefruit the first few weeks of flowering! mmmm

haha that sounds awesome. jack herer and white widow right? my NL are stinkin up the place already haha. i wouldnt recommend these purple wreck seeds though. well maybe i just got unlucky, but i was only able to germ 6 of the 13...

Hi guys, don't know if I'm worrying about nothing, but the plants don't seem to be growing very fast. The temps have been okay really and rarely getting over 28, but at some points in the day it has crept up to 30. The humidity is pretty much a constant 40% and they are getting water around every 3 days.

They were watered last night so I'm hoping thats why they look a little droopy in the pics.

Any advice would be great, Cheers


Day 17 from germination

nah they look fine for 17 days to me, just about the same as mine! only advice i would give is to keep them wet all the time. i dont like to let the plants dry out before watering them again like you would during flowering. i just use a spray bottle a few times a day so i make sure i dont give them too much at a time. just a thought...

really? i heard that letting them go dry then watering them is the way to go as they really soak up the water better when done this way. Good to hear different opinions though, might have to give it a try!

well i know that seedlings need constant watering and should never be dried out. im not sure at what point you start to let them dry out before watering though? anyways im keeping mine watered pretty much all the time and they seem to be doing fine. ill see if i can find any more info...

Cool man. How long do you think until I flower? I was thinking another 2/3 weeks, but I can't really go much longer as I'm going away at Christmas, so need to be harvested by that time really.

umm how long do the strains say they take to flower? i would wait at least 2 more weeks. i was planning on flowering mine at 4 weeks but theyre not quite big enough yet so another week or 2 probabaly. even if you let them go another 3 weeks you should have about 10 weeks left before xmas to flower...

Jacky White says 60 days and the G-bomb says 8-9 weeks, so yeah hopefully I won't have a problem with timing, but would hate to have to chop em' early!

Day 28 From germination:










Things are going rather well, I've got a nice steady temp at around 25 degrees/50+% humidity and they seem to be looking quite healthy, growing nice thick stems.

Gonna veg for another 2+ weeks, I think. Really trying to aim for a decent yield this grow.

Any comments or tips/advice are welcome and I wouldn't mind some feedback

wow i forgot this journal existed haha but the plants look great! a little small but no biggie. are you going to transplant them soon? when you start flowering maybe? given them any nutes?
