My first grow - Jacky White + G-bomb!

Hello all

Welcome to my grow diary, firstly let me give you the setup:

1m2 by 2m budbox
600w metal halide for veg and hps for flower (digital ballast)
150mm ruck exhaust with filter
125mm ruck intake (both with acoustic ducting)
6" clip on fan
small heated propagator (currently using root riot cubes)
batmix organic soil
bag of perlite.

And now for the seeds, I went with 5 Paradise seeds 'Jacky White' and 5 Big Buddha's 'G-Bomb'

Put the seeds in the propagator a few hours ago and hoping everything is going according to plan!

Nice! I like the setup. Is that the homebox L? I'm using the XS just for vegging, it's great. Good luck on your grow! I'll be watching.

Little update...

Been having some temperature problems with the 600w, so ran out and got a 125 envirolight and the temps seem to be quite steady now at around 26% and 44 humidity.

As you can see, one or two of the G-bomb seedlings seems to be lacking a bit and hasn't quite sprouted upwards yet, they also seem rather withered looking, I've been keeping them moist though. The jacky's seem to be coming along quite nicely.

Got them in the propagator at the moment under the envirolight (24/7) just to keep the humidity levels nice and steady.

Any comments at all? I'm not sure how well they're doing, so would love some input

Lookin good. Whats your temp at? (all you said was humidity). I'd pick the shells off the top so they can open up easier, other than that everything looks great!

Temps are reading 48% humidity and 28.1 oC.

Not bad. Ideally you want it around 24-26 if you can, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I've opened the slits on the propagator to try and lower the temps a little bit, but not sure how much good that will do. Got a 6" clip on circulating in there too.

Do you think the seedlings look healthy, Im not too sure about the g-bombs, but i suppose its early days.

Yeah they look pretty healthy. I'm pretty much a newbie myself, just done lots of reading. Some strains just grow slower than other's that could be why they haven't fully sprouted yet. Give them time. Do you have these growing in the tent right now?

Yeah all in the tent at the mo under the 125w enviro.

I went out to a fabric shop, spent about £30 on materials and stitched up a cover for the budbox to stealth it a bit to look like a canvas wardrobe. It's not finished yet, but it seems to work quite well, as a friend came in to the room and didn't even give it a second look.

Haha very nice. I like it. Are those temps with the tent zipped up and the lights on? Have you tested the temp with the HPS?

Yeah haven't tried it yet, but I think I'm possibly having some problems with the fan/extraction, so I'm going to send it back and replace it with a high powered one.

And yeah, thats with the tent zipped up, CFL on

That's not bad. Your HPS will probably raise the temp a good 4 or 5 degrees (fahrenheit sorry from the states). But yeah, get that fan workin!

Yeah, those look fine. What is that strain anyway. Is it a cross of something?

The genetics haven't been confirmed from Paradise seeds, but it's supposed to be a Jack herer X White Widow cross. A few people have grown it and described very similar traits of these strains.

Got both the Jacky White's and the G-bomb for £35 each.

Just had another look in the tent and a couple of g-bombs have sprouted up
