take it easy on me please .

i started this grow about 10 weeks ago without internet , i lost track of the days since then .

cheapo 2x4x5 tent , kingledView attachment 5391184View attachment 5391185View attachment 5391186View attachment 5391187 light of unknown wattage . it has two switches one says veg other says flower . grow median is the best dirt i could find in my yard and few handfuls of pearlite . nutes used " strive " two part . and a 4 inch vent fan .
strain... unknown bag seeds . ph, temps and humidity are unknown , watered with well water . its rather hard . lots of iron , calcium and Sulphur

the story , i am disabled and live on a small annuity so when we went legal in ohio i did not think id be able to start a grow simply because i cant afford the equipment .
then one day i was walking around the local outdoor flea market freezing my butt off i came across a vender who had some crappy stuff for sale at crappy stuff prices so i came home with the tent , light , fan and nutes for the massive price of $65 and i was in business .

started some seeds and here i am . no timers or anything fancy . when they feel dry i feed and water them . the one plant i experimented tying things back to open up for light , yea its ugly it grew a lot more then expected in flower , i need to tie back that top that's against the light . the other i just left alone .

i did not have internet till just a few days ago so i didnt have much to go on , i do not have a green thumb , my first time growing anything View attachment 5391182View attachment 5391183

Not bad but I would definitely get fans on your stuff and open up the vents to allow air flow looks like yours are all closed
Ventilation is very important and big fan nature is not 2 miles per hour winds

i do have vents open on the bottom and run the exhaust fan 24-7 , love to have some clip on fans inside the tent but me budget doesn't allow it .
i am on a shoestring over here , gone so far as to cut back on household power use so i dont raise my bill ore then i can afford to pay

Those mini fans dont do much in my latest grow. Keep moving them and turning them down and just about aint needed. Could go without.

Just stressing my clones out. I was told one was good if its even needed. Plants should be structured to be able to breathe.

plant structure , I've been learning on that . wish i had some . its on my keep reading list for my next grow .

some may have seen my thread on spider mites , i don't think this is related or a problem . i think its part of the plants life cycle but hey ive been wrong before .
one plant is a few days ahead of the other and they are different strains it seems . on the plant that is further ahead the fan leaves are starting to yellow , all the other leaves look good to me and are turning purple . looking threw other grows it looks like natural plant fade to me , working threw week 5 .
should i trim off the fan leaves as they progress or just let them go naturally ?

watering keeps changing on me , iid like some opinions on how much i should be watering and feeding .

in the 5th week , 3 gallon fabric pots , nutrients are strive 2 part . soil is black loamy yard soil this is very much less about nutes and mostly about water .
right now i mix up about 2 gallons and water until i get a fair amount of run off . there is usually about a quart left in the watering container .
last week they seemed fairly happy watered/fed every three days . this week they seem to want just a little more , maybe every two and half days .
half way threw that second day i start to see both plants drooping some .

pots are not freshly watered heavy nor do they feel dry , my gut says to go ahead and feed them more . am i on the right track ?

Nice! I'm from Ohio too. I've been playing in basements and digging holes a long time. You are learning the old school way. I love it!!!

If your fan leaves are yellowing from the top down you have overwatering issues. If your plant leaves are yellowing from the bottom up them the top part of the plant is robbing mobile nutrients from your fan leaves to feed your buds.. which means you have a nutrient deficiency. I have 2 plants in 15 gallon fabric bags and I feed 1 gallon a piece every other day or so and they're so fat and happy I have to tie them down. 2 gallons for 3 gallon fabric pots seems... like a lot. And if you're getting a ton of run off I'm guessing your washing the nutes out of your soil. I would be really worried about root rot. I also made a makeshift champagne yeast C02 system for super cheap and ran it to my ocillating fan and they're super happy with that too. Maybe something to look into??

Welcome! I'm new to growing as well, but if there's one thing I've seen from successful growers its having a loving interest in the hobby. You clearly do too mate! How did the grow turn out?? pics? its been 6 months lol.

The one thing I would recommend that manual labor and paying attention can't fix, and that's another light. I'm not a big fan of alibaba or temu, BUT there are budget options on amazon.

currently using a VPN, so UK amazon links, but the product should be available in USA.
IPower *600watt* - it says 90watt power draw, so it on paper is slightly less powerful than SF1000.
or really cheap
40watt total strip lights

Either of those would make a big difference. I'd recommend decent named lights $65-120 for a little more quality assurance, but when you're on a TIGHT budget, any addition will help.
This is IF you haven't already upgraded your setup.
