My first grow from bag seed & IT'S A GIRL!!!

Hey All,

So I decided to enter the world of cannabis cultivation.... From finding a seed in my bag to germinating and now vegging a healthy female in a budget setup.

I have read as much as I can on the subject while trying to build on my basic setup and knowledge! This forum and its members have been such an excellent resource, I thought it only fitting that you all should share in my excitement at confirming I have a healthy female!

lets just hope no.2 is also female! No pre-flowering yet but it's only just onto the 5th node so fingers crossed!


So a bit about my setup.....

Grow area is a 1.5' x 1.5' x 2.5' cardboard box lined with foil card.
2 PC fans (intake & exhaust)
Lights : 1 x 65w CFL 2700k + 1 x 65x 6400k
I have another 2 x 6400k & 1 x 2700k - 1x 6400 for future cuttings/mother & others to add when I get a bigger grow area.
Both plants are into their final pots - 10"
Nutes: biogrow @ 2ml/litre every other watering. Will up the biogrow & add biobloom once into flowering

I would appreciate any comments on setup or (cheap) upgrades / additions I could make to my setup

Are you sure? Looks like I see man parts too. If you close up on it you see it stick out like a wild hamster. See it? Kidding

How tall is your plant. I always wonder how people do grows with so little vertical space. By the time you subtract the pot and the lights, How big can the plant get? I have a test 12-12 from seed going in a similar space under a 50w LED just for shits and giggles. I had to supercrop the shit out of her multiple times because she kept running into light. Luckily with LED it doesn't burn them.

So my comment is are you ready for flower stretch? She will get MUCH taller!

I think you may need more light to get yield but can't say because I have larger space where I do my CFL grow.

Congrats on the girl Timmy. I see u got a little lsting goin on. when those chutes get bigger jus do the same to them, and with the cfls keep them as close as possible, about 2-4 inches from the tops

in regards to the heights of my plants... They are currently about 5-6 inches in vertical height due to extensive LST. If left to grow naturally they would be around 12-14 inches. I wanted to veg until they were mature so LST was the obvious solution with the limited grow space. Also I wanted to use my first grow to learn as much as I can so the extended veg and additional efforts required for limited space are schooling me well.

Once I switch to flower I plan to move my plants to a converted cupboard which will take my space to approximate 2' x 4' x 5'.
The bottom of the grow room will be entirely adjustable in height to allow me to maximise my lumens per sqft. As my girls stretch I will lower the floor and add additional lights.
