Hi everyone, new to the forums and growing in general, I've been reading and researching non-stop tho.
I just got done lining all the inside of the closet with aluminum foil, it looks to be reflecting reeally good.
So tommorow I'm gonna go buy my light setup, this is what I plan on getting, tell me if it is ok please:]
* one 4' 4-bulb fluorescent fixture
* four 6500K bulbs for veg
* four 2700K bulbs for fruiting
* two 100W (actual watts) CFL lights in clamp fixtures
* I also have a 13'' coralife dual CFL fish tank lamp, it has one 6700K bulb and one called ''colormax''
Should I use this lamp along with the 4' and the two clamp lights? Or will that be too much.
I plan on having a standing fan inside the closet that turns and is on 12/12 and a desk fan on the floor running 20/4
Is this too much ventilation or no?
Thanks:]

First good luck with your grow.

Second, take down the foil asap. I'm sure you've heard the argument that foil will burn the holes in the leaves. Some say that it wont with cfl's only HID lights. I grow with cfl's and I tried and the shit burnt holes in my leaves.

How big is your grow space? how many plants are you growing? I like your light setup idea. I use 105 watt cfl's in clamp fixtures myself and they kick ass. I would go with the all cfl's and not use the tubes. Reason being tubes dont have as many lumens per bulb as the high powered cfl's. The higher the lumens, the deeper it will penetrate. Lumens dont stack, meaning that each of those 3500 lumen tubes will only light the top six inches of the plant. A 7100 cfl will be more than double the pentration. Just a suggestion. You can see my grow journal at the bottom to get some ideas. Best build a platform so you can adjust the lights easy. Its a bitch to do five or six lights everyday. It gets old fast.

Not sure about fish tank lights. But if they have the right color spectrum, then I dont see how they can hurt. Heres a good website for cfls [http://www.1000bulbs.com/category/2-to-200-watt-cfl-compact-fluorescents/

Hi welcome to RIU noob here to. Any ways as far as the aluminum foil get rid of it as ive read it can burn holes in your plants and shitty as hell for reflective. If you want to go cheap about reflection go to walmart to camping aisle look for the emergency blanket they are like 3 bucks or go to automotive and get the shiny windshield reflector.or just get panda film or real mylar from local hydro shop or just paint white (i think flat) works best.:mrgreen:
